The S&P 500, Nasdaq Turn Positive. The Dow Is Up 300 Points.
The stock market could snap its losing streak, after all.
The S&P 500 was up 0.2% with about an hour and a half left to go in Friday’s session. The Dow was up 300 points, or 0.6%. Even the Nasdaq Composite crawled back above breakeven.
The big three indexes entered the new year riding four-day losing streaks. The Nasdaq hasn’t had a five-day skid since Jan. 14, 2025, according to Dow Jones Market Data.
