Venezuela’s Oil Exports Will Take Years to Ramp Up
Repairing Venezuela’s dilapidated energy infrastructure and bringing more oil to market could be costly and take longer than many expect, Amrita Sen, founder of research consultancy Energy Aspects, told WSJ’s What’s News podcast.
“Just to raise production by half a million barrels per day will take them two years and at least $10 billion, so you can just imagine the scale of what we are dealing with,” Sen said.
