China may start selling its products to Europe at discounted rates if the US starts a trade war by imposing new tariffs, according to European Central Bank Governing Council member Klaas Knot. Investec economist Ellie Henderson, speaking on Bloomberg Television, says the outlook for 2025 is shrouded in uncertainty until “pen is put to paper” on US President-elect Trump’s trade policies.
