Dow, S&P 500 Inch Back Toward Record Highs
The stock market is mostly grinding higher on Thursday, and the S&P 500 is closing in on its record level.
The S&P 500 rose 0.2% at the open. The Dow was up 156 points, or 0.3%, while the Nasdaq was flat.
There’s some AI anxiety in the air. Nasdaq was the laggard Wednesday as well, an underperformance that can be chalked up to a report that suggested Microsoft lowered its AI software sales quota.
