Heard on the Street Recap: Greenland Tensions Thaw

The prospect of a Greenland deal lifted markets. President Trump said he wouldn’t impose tariffs on several European nations after reaching the “framework of a future deal,” and also said he wouldn’t use force. The S&P 500 index closed an up-and-down day higher, up 1.2%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 589 points, or 1.2%. The Nasdaq Composite also rallied 1.2%.
