JBS to Close California Plant as Meat Processors Feel Pressure

JBS, the largest beef processor in the U.S., said the Riverside, Calif., plant doesn’t slaughter any cattle and handles different types of meat. The closure is part of JBS’s effort to revamp its case-ready business and simplify operations. Shares of JBS ticked up about 1% on Friday.
