Medtronic Spin-Off MiniMed Files for IPO

MiniMed Group, a subsidiary of Medtronic MDT 0.15%increase; green up pointing triangle, is looking to spin itself off as an independent company via an initial public offering.

The company, which makes medical technology for diabetes patients, filed to go public with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. It did not say how many shares it would offer or at what price.
