Slitterhead Video Review – IGN
Slitterhead reviewed by Tristan Ogilvie on PlayStation 5. Also available on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
“Slitterhead features some interesting body-swapping exploration and a unique blood-based battle system, but it never fully capitalises on either of them due to its small handful of repeated level settings and largely indistinguishable enemy encounters. Its story is disappointingly primitive in its presentation, and its time-looping structure only really serves as a feeble attempt to mask the fact that it takes about one hour’s worth of story mission ideas and repeats them incessantly across its 13-hour duration. Like a bloody blade worn down by a few too many battles, Slitterhead grows increasingly dull over time and ultimately just doesn’t cut it.”

‘Gutted’ Corrie star reveals he’s been conned out of hundreds of pounds in targeted scam as fans flood him with support
CORONATION Street star revealed he was scammed out of £600 while trying to buy Oasis concert tickets.
Actor Tony Maudsley has portrayed undertaker George Shuttleworth on Coronation Street since joining the ITV soap in 2020.
The 56-year-old was left devastated after he tried to buy Oasis tour tickets and ended up getting scammed, losing hundreds of pounds in the process.
He took to social media and issued a warning to fans over people on Facebook who claim to be selling tour tickets to see the British rock band perform.
Tony wrote: “Gutted. Thought I’d lucked out and got 4 OASIS tickets for my brothers birthday.
“Guy on Facebook who appeared to have mutual friends. I sent £600 to his bank. He kept messaging me saying it hadn’t cleared.
“Seems my bank were more on the ball than me and stopped the payment.”
In another post, the actor updated his followers and said: “Beware. This is a new level of scamming.
“Seems the guy he was pretending to be had had his account hacked.
“Luckily someone else that knew the real guy got in touch and warned me. Durrrr. WISE UP, MAUDSLEY!!”
He also confirmed that the bank managed to get all his money back.
Fans took to the comment section to send their support, with one suggesting to “Get the Corrie writers to write the concert into your storyline… that would be great viewing! And you’d get to go!
To which the star replied: “Hahahaha. Yes I can see George rocking away to Liam Gallagher whilst necking a bottle of Bud!”
This comes after Tony delighted fans as he was seen enjoying a Benidorm reunion.
Fans know he did a stint in the hairdressers at the Solana hotel.
He was hairdresser Kenneth Du Beke in the hit sitcom Benidorm, a role he played from 2011 to 2018.
Soap’s biggest whodunnits
EastEnders – Who shot Phil Mitchell?
The “Who Shot Phil?” storyline was a whodunit mystery that captured the attention of viewers and the media. The episode revealing the culprit was watched by 23 million viewers. Lisa Shaw, Phil Mitchell’s former girlfriend and the mother of his child Louise, was revealed as the killer as Phil slept with Lisa’s best friend. Phil forgave Lisa, and they agreed to keep the truth a secret.
Coronation Street – Who killed Tina McIntyre ?
The popular actress Michelle Keegan played Tina McIntyre for several years on the Cobbles, but she ended up being killed by Rob Donovan in a tragic turn of events back in 2014 when he chased her onto the balcony of the Builder’s Yard. When she tried to leave, he pushed her and she fell off the roof, with Rob convinced he killed her. With Tina still alive, he attacked her with an iron bar but she survived that attack and was rushed to hospital as doctors tried to save her.
Emmerdale – Who pushed Emma Barton?
Emma was then pushed off a viaduct by Moira after she talked ill of her dead daughter Holly, who died of an overdose in October 2017. Although Moira was responsible for Emma’s death, her son, Adam Barton, took the fall for the murder since he was already a prime suspect and he didn’t want Isaac to grow up motherless.
Hollyoaks – Glove Hand Killer
The Gloved Hand Killer was a mystery serial killer, who claimed the lives of 7 characters between January and October 2015, all by injecting them with potassium chloride. The Gloved Hand Killer’s targets were all people who had done wrong in some shape or form. There were 6 suspects for who the Gloved Hand Killer was, and the killer’s identity was revealed in October 2015. It was revealed to be doctor Lindsey Butterfield who had been killing people at the hospital.
He recently took to social media with a picture of him alongside his co-star and fellow Blow ‘n’ Go colleague Adam Gillen, who starred as Liam Conroy in Benidorm.
Tony wrote: “Six years since the Benidorm Blow & Go boys hung up their hairdryers… tonight we were back on the town.”
He added: “I’m bursting with pride having watched my little sidekick shining like a star in the West End in Cabaret.
“You were phenomenal Adam Gillen. My heart is full to bursting! Soooo proud of you! #LiamAndKenneth.”

GMB host Ed Balls ‘sits out’ interview with wife Yvette Cooper after ITV Ofcom complaints
Ed Balls “sat out” a Good Morning Britain interview with his wife Yvette Cooper this morning following a previous bias row that led to thousands of Ofcom complaints.
The ITV breakfast show host informed viewers he would not be conducting the interview with Cooper, who was appearing on the show in her position as Labour’s home secretary.
Balls’s decision came after Cooper’s last appearance in August, which received 8201 complaints, caused a bias row, with many believing Balls – a former Labour leadership candidate and cabinet minister – should not have been permitted to interview his wife.
Consequently, the GMB host, who has been married to Cooper for more than 25 years, told viewers on Monday (6 November), he was “sitting out” the latest interview.
Cooper appeared on the series back in August when Labour was receiving criticism for its response to the riots and far-right civil unrest spreading across the country, and Balls’ impartiality was thrown into question.
His softer approach was noted when compared with an earlier interview with Labour MP Zara Sultana, whom he repeatedly interrupted as she urged political leaders to condemn the protests as “Islamophobic” and “racist”.
Balls being permitted to interview Cooper was also compared to previous cases against broadcaster GB News, who Ofcom found to have broken the rules when Tory MPs working as presenters interviewed other Tory MPs.
While ITV never commented on the complaints, the latest move appears to be an acknowledgement of the furore, which saw viewers call the interview setup “absurd”.
The Home Secretary and GMB presenter have been married for over 25 years and have three children together – they were the first married couple to serve in government alongside each other back in 2008.
It’s worth noting that Ofcom currently does not include restrictions on such specifics of a husband interviewing his wife but due impartiality laws state: “No politician may be used as a newsreader, interviewer or reporter in any news programmes unless, exceptionally, it is editorially justified. In that case, the political allegiance of that person must be made clear to the audience.”

Rohit Bal symbolised the best in fashion, also the worst in fashion- The Week
Nearly 15 years ago, I met Rohit Bal late one morning at New Delhi’s The Grand hotel. The five-star was teeming over with beautiful people in its lobby – models, socialites, celebrities and other fashionably dressed somebodys. Gudda, as Bal was called by those who met him even twice, was preening about with a glass of champagne in his hand. “It’s only noon, Gudda,” I complained seeing his champagne tulip. “It’s fashion week,” he retorted before embracing me in a giant bear hug.
Gudda was like that. Always up for a good time. A good time was Gudda and Gudda was a good time. The two were inseparable, I suspect, till his dying days.
Rohit Bal, Gudda as we loved him, died last evening in New Delhi. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), of which he was a founding member, announced his passing last night: “We mourn the passing of Legendary designer Rohit Bal. He was a founding member of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). Known for his unique blend of traditional patterns with modern sensibilities, Bal’s work redefined Indian fashion, and inspired generations. His legacy of artistry, and innovation along with forward thinking will live on in the fashion world.”
Bal had checked into hospital complaining of chest pain in the wee hours of yesterday morning. As the evening progressed, it seems the doctors couldn’t revive him after several hours of trying. Bal has had heart ailments since 2010, when he had had a cardiac arrest and angioplasty. The last two years have seen him in and out of hospital and ICUs, often nearly dying, but then coming back to tell us we were all fussing and he’s absolutely fine.
Gudda believed he lived to pursue beauty and to pursue happiness, and those came from fine fashions and a life of parties.
Rohit Bal, 63, was among India’s finest crop of designers. He made lush clothes, with reams of fabrics and layers, fabulously bold embroideries – roses, lotuses, peacocks – in gold and fine silk threads. Many of his motifs were derived from classical crafts, especially that of his hometown Kashmir. His clothing constructions were dipped into India’s heritage – shapes that filled Ahmedabad’s Calico Museum of Textiles. His workmanship was so fine, often you couldn’t tell whether his embroideries were threadwork or painted patterns.
His fashion shows were as dramatic as he was. Models sashayed through ponds and fountains. Antediluvian edifices were lit up as backdrops. The music was an homage to old-world etiquettes. And Gudda would always come out dancing a little jig to take a bow.
Rohit Bal was born in Srinagar on May 8, 1961, to a Kashmiri Pandit family. His family moved to New Delhi in the 1970s, where Bal would graduate in History at St. Stephen’s.
Bal was among India’s first crop of fashion designers as that term came to be introduced to India’s lexicon. The National Institute of Fashion Technology had opened in New Delhi, and he was among the first graduates. Indian fashion was just taking shape and innovative ideas that teamed western sophistication with Indian craft had begun experimenting. A decade or so later, India would have its first fashion week.
Bal became the face of fashion weeks in their earlier years. He would always be in the news, whether it was a fight with a fellow designer or then his controversial after-after parties. They were often late-night affairs brimming over with young male models aching to make it big in the glamour world. Bal was soon dubbed “the bad boy of Indian fashion”, a moniker I suspect he enjoyed. Bal’s ill health and his unserious business plans didn’t allow him to reach the professional highs his contemporaries, such as Tarun Tahiliani, would scale.
After beating the grim reaper for the nth time, Bal was last month’s fashion week finale designer. He came on stage for his dancing bow once again, but he could barely stand, and had to be helped up by his models. No one minded, his clothes were spectacular and Bollywood’s current It-girl Ananya Panday was his showstopper. The party always went on.
Bal will be remembered as a true fashion genius, an eccentric, aching heart that beats with immense passion for beauty and for life.

James Van Der Beek’s wife posts sweet tribute after Dawson’s Creek star’s cancer diagnosis
JAMES Van Der Beek’s wife Kimberly has posted a sweet tribute to the Dawson’s Creek star after he revealed he’s been diagnosed with cancer.
Last night James, 47, told how he has been living with colorectal cancer but assured fans that “there’s reason for optimism”.
His wife Kimberly, 42, later took to Instagram to share her support for the actor.
She reposted an Instagram upload about songbirds, which read: “Northern cardinals, the ‘romantic’ birds that mate for life, travel together, sing before nesting and feed each other seed beak-to-beak during courtship.”
Kimberly added: “Hi baby. @vanderjames.”
In a statement to People Magazine, James said: “I have colorectal cancer.
More on James Van Der Beek
“I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis and have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family.
“There’s reason for optimism, and I’m feeling good.”
Colorectal cancer develops in the tissues of the colon or rectum, which are both part of the large intestine and the digestive system.
James has continued to work despite his diagnosis, appearing in a recent episode of Walker and a new film for Tubi called Sidelined: The QB and Me, which will be released on November 29.
He is also prioritising time with his large family, having had six children with Kimberly.
James shot to fame in the 90s in teen drama Dawson’s Creek, playing main character Dawson Leery.
The show ran from 1998 until 2003 and also made stars of the likes of Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson.
Last year James dashed fans’ hopes of a reboot when he insisted such a show would be “tricky” to make.
He told Insider: “It would be a tricky thing to do. It was a tricky show to make even back then.
“It was a very, very specific tone, a very specific time. I don’t know what would be replicable or be doable.”
