Holland Roden Says Teen Wolf Is 'In My Blood,' Wants Reunion

After growing up on the Teen Wolf set, Holland Roden is sounding off on whether she wants more from the MTV series — and who she’s closest with from the cast.

“As soon as I get a call, I’m happy to say yes,” Roden, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, November 18, of her desire to work with the cast again. “I love my Teen Wolf family. I grew up there.”

The actress revealed, “Most of the cast and crew and creators, we all keep pretty close touch.”

Roden noted she talks to Teen Wolf lead Tyler Posey “pretty frequently,” so she is “aware of what he has cooking” for a possible new venture for the franchise.

Roden played Lydia Martin alongside Posey’s Scott McCall on Teen Wolf from 2011 to 2017. On the show, which also starred Dylan O’Brien as Stiles Stilinski, Scott and Stiles get into trouble that results in Scott being bit by a werewolf. Once he becomes a teen wolf, he must navigate all sorts of drama while attending Beacon Hills High School.

In 2023, the majority of the cast reunited for Paramount+’s Teen Wolf: The Movie, but O’Brien, 34, wasn’t part of the journey.

Posey, meanwhile, exclusively told Us in September that he plans to “make sure that there is more Teen Wolf,” revealing he’s already written the second film. He teased, “[I have] a great idea for the third,” if Paramount wants it.

Roden, for her part, told Us on Tuesday that her connection to the Teen Wolf family is strong, hinting fans will see them on screen again eventually.

Colton Haynes is actually in New York with me this time,” she said, referring to the actor who played Jackson Whittemore on the series. “We plan on seeing Crystal [Reed] while we’re here, and Shelley [Hennig]‘s a good friend, and JR [Bourne] and Ian [Bohen] and the whole gang, Ryan Kelley.”

While Roden didn’t confirm Posey’s plans for the next Teen Wolf installment, she said they are all intertwined.

“I was actually set up on a blind date with [costar] Tyler Hoechlin before the show, because our best friends used to date back in the day,” she recalled. “So Tyler and I go way back.”

Roden teased, “Teen Wolf‘s always gonna be, like, it’s in my blood.”

Roden’s time on the supernatural series recently crossed over into her Hallmark career as well with her 2025 Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story costar Matthew Daddario being part of the genre back in the day.

“We had not [met beforehand] but we both were on supernatural TV shows back in the day, and that’s like a brotherhood in a way,” Daddario, 38, exclusively told Us on Tuesday while promoting their Hallmark project together.

“It’s a certain Greek life, fraternities, sororities, situation for sure,” Roden told Us of the supernatural TV genre. “I haven’t really experienced another supernatural costar on Hallmark before [outside] of myself or anybody else that I’m aware of.”

She said she was “excited that fans immediately started noticing” that magical TV connection and that they were acting together. “That was fun,” Roden added.

While fans didn’t get a Shadowhunters and Teen Wolf crossover in the early 2000s, they can see Daddario and Roden play love interests in A Bills Love Story Saturday, November 22.

The Hallmark holiday movie follows the DeLucas and the Quinns, who have lived next to each other near Buffalo Bills’ Highmark Stadium for decades.

When pediatric doctor Morgan Quinn (Roden) learns her Uncle Tommy (Joe Pantoliano) has been receiving an anonymous Christmas gift every year, she enlists the help of childhood pal Bills VP of Stadium Development Gabe DeLuca (Daddario) and his connection to the NFL team “to pull off the surprise of a lifetime for Morgan and both their families that will make this a Christmas they’ll never forget,” according to the logline.

“I always love when Hallmark calls. It’s just a fun time,” Roden exclusively told Us, noting that the cast and the story of “this rowdy, self-deprecating, fun football family that’s a little bit unique to Hallmark” made her sign on instantly.

She added that her character pulled her in from the jump. “I was a pre-med major, so I related to my pediatrician character quite a bit,” Roden shared. “I don’t have the, ‘I grew up next door to my lifelong love situation without knowing it,’ that part’s missing in my life.”

Roden continued, “I just love that there was a bit of joshing around and that’s definitely the dynamic that takes place in my family. Thankfully, the holidays are a really warm feeling for me, and it’s something I always look forward to. So Morgan is no different.”

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story premieres on Hallmark Channel Saturday, November 22, at 8 p.m. ET.
