Hugh Jackman Goes Instagram Official With Girlfriend Sutton Foster

Hugh Jackman got into the holiday spirit by supporting girlfriend Sutton Foster at her latest performance.

Jackman, 57, shared a photo and video via Instagram of Foster, 50, singing on stage with a band at New York City’s Café Carlyle on Wednesday, November 26.

“@suttonlenore performing during the holidays at @cafecarlyle … now that’s an iconic NYC night! And, truly magical,” he captioned the post, which marked the first time he raved over Foster on Instagram.

In the clip, Foster smiled and waved to Jackman in the crowd before bursting into laughter. She donned a floor-length sequined gown with a cowl neck and wore her hair in soft waves.

“Absolutely stunning in that dress 😍,” one fan commented, while another said, “I saw Sutton at the Carlyle in 2013 for the first time and she is amazing in this little venue!! You two need to do a show together!!”

“Love you two together ❤️❤️❤️,” a third person gushed, as a fourth person commented, “She is gorgeous and so talented.”

Jackman and Foster costarred in Broadway’s The Music Man, which began previews in December 2021. At the time, Jackman was still married to Deborra-Lee Furness, while Foster was married to Ted Griffin.

The Wolverine actor and Furness, 69, announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in June. Foster filed for divorce from Griffin, 54, in October 2024, and the case is still ongoing. Us confirmed Jackman and Foster were dating the following month. (Jackman and Furness share kids Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, while Foster and Griffin share daughter Emily, 8.)

“Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced,” a source close to Foster exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2024. “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”

A friend of the former couple told Us that Furness was heartbroken by the split.

“[For a] woman who’s been in a marriage for [27] years who then discovers her partner was unfaithful and isn’t trustworthy, it’s a pretty devastating life experience,” the source shared. “I think many people were shocked [Hugh] could do this to her, especially as she’s the mother of his children, and they’ve navigated three decades of life together. A little respect may have been in order.”

A second insider told Us earlier this month that Jackman and Furness are “doing better now” as friends as they’ve both entered new chapters post-divorce.

“They have been slowly rebuilding communication the last couple months,” the second insider revealed. “It was so difficult when they were dealing with business stuff. It was tense. Now it has shifted toward more emotional closure.”

Jackman and Furness met in private on multiple occasions to discuss “unresolved issues,” the second source said, adding, “The groundwork began after they wrapped legal filings, and that was helpful so they could have a meaningful dialogue to figure out a way to move forward. The recent progress is the most substantial in a positive direction since the split.”
