Isabella Strahan Details Her ‘Dinner Dates’ With Dad Michael Strahan
Isabella Strahan is opening up about her life more than a year after she was declared cancer-free.
The USC student, 21, told Us Weekly exclusively that she is back on campus and spending quality time with her loved ones, including dad Michael Strahan, following her battle with medulloblastoma. Isabella, who underwent treatment for nearly a year before returning to school in 2024, shared that she and Michael “have gotten a lot closer” since her diagnosis.
“He’s here in L.A. every weekend during football, so we do a dinner date every Saturday,” Isabella said of her father while discussing her partnership with F.A.S.T Haircare. “I feel like it’s just brought us a lot closer. Even at my school — well, his flight got delayed — but we were supposed to be on a panel together discussing the process of navigating sickness. I think it’s really important to always have those people in your corner.”
Isabella lists Michael, mother Jean Muggli and her twin sister, Sophia Strahan, amongst her support system. The college student gushed about their impact, telling Us that Muggli slept next to her during her hospital stays and that Sophia made sure to talk to her about college-age topics during treatment.
Isabella added that her weekly dinners with Michael, 54, are “so fun” — in part because the college student gets to enjoy rare fine dining.
“I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ve been eating bagels all week,” Isabella joked. “‘Can I get a nice steak dinner?’ It’s so funny.”
Isabella is also making time for classes (she’s majoring in communications), hanging out with her sisters at the sorority house where she lives and rediscovering her hair after beating cancer. The student told Us that she is “excited” to grow out her auburn curls following chemotherapy, but knows her value does not lie in her looks.

“Before my treatment, I had very long curly hair,” Isabella explained. “Everyone would always be like, ‘Oh, your hair is so pretty.’ I feel like I placed a lot of value in my long, curly hair. Now looking back on it, I kind of liked the bald. Hopefully, it’ll never come back, but it was so low maintenance. I’m seeing that it’s not just hair that makes someone special, it’s really how they treat other people. I actually get a lot of compliments on my little afro now.”
Isabella is partnering with F.A.S.T. Haircare as its first-ever brand ambassador in an effort to rejuvenate her hair and encourage others to do the same. The content creator shared that losing her hair in her teens was “never easy” and she’s happy to have a product line that “helps you gain that confidence back.”
“I know I placed a lot of confidence in how my hair looked, and now, seeing all the different stages of short to awkward lengths and everything in between, it’s really interesting to see that personal growth for myself,” Isabella dished. “Also see[ing] a brand who has goals that align with that, and really just helping people.”
Carolyn Aronson, Founder and CEO of F.A.S.T. Haircare, said in a statement that Isabella was the perfect choice for the brand’s first ambassador, noting her tenacity, poise and advocacy for others.
“Isabella represents everything F.A.S.T. stands for: resilience, empowerment, and the confidence that comes with embracing your journey,” Aronson said. “Working with Isabella is about so much more than a campaign; it’s about creating change and giving back. Her story embodies the miracle of resilience, and through F.A.S.T., we hope to continue helping others on their own journeys of healing and transformation.”
