Sister Wives’ Meri Brown’s child Leon Brown slammed their father, Kody Brown, over recent comments about trying to be in touch with his kids.
“Taking a break from my social media hiatus to say one thing,” Leon, 30, began an Instagram Story statement shared on Tuesday, November 25. “There’s a ridiculous video of my father circulating where he says he reaches out to his children.”
Leon claimed, “Let me be so f***ing clear: I have not heard from that man since my brother killed himself.” (Leon is referring to Robert “Garrison” Brown’s death in March 2024.)
Meri, 54, and Kody’s child alleged, “Kody blatantly blew me off at Garrison’s funeral,” which took place later that year.
Leon concluded by calling out their father and his alleged actions. “He is a liar. He is a joke of a father. That’s all,” Leon wrote.
Us Weekly has reached out to TLC for comment.
Leon’s statement came after Kody, 56, cried on camera during the Sunday, November 23, episode of Sister Wives while thinking about his strained relationships with the majority of his older children.

“There’s a phrase I heard, ‘The knife of the father is never out of the heart of his children,’” Kody told his wife, Robyn Brown, on the episode. “That breaks my heart. I wish so badly that I could’ve fixed things with my own dad while he was alive.”
Kody broke down over the fact that he never got to “sit down and have a couple beers” with his dad, noting that he at least “got a beer with Garrison the last time we ate together.” (Janelle Brown and Kody’s son, Garrison, died by suicide at the age of 25.)
While Kody felt good about spending time with Garrison ahead of his death, he confessed that his contact with his other children is almost nonexistent. He claimed, however, that it wasn’t for lack of trying on his part.
“I’ve reached out to every one of my children, and multiple times,” Kody alleged. “And if they don’t have a relationship with me, it’s because they’re not reciprocating.”
Robyn, with whom Kody shares two children, hinted during the episode that Kody’s relationship with his older kids was because of how his ex-wives paint him when he’s not around. (Kody also adopted Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage.)
“I think there’s some hurt feelings and misunderstandings and some influencing that’s been happening,” Robyn, 47, said. “Some pretty intense influencing.”
Janelle, 56, who shared Garrison and has five other kids with Kody, laughed at the insinuation.
“I wish I had a lot of influence on my adult children,” she told the cameras. “Boy, things would be really different.”
Christine Brown, who shares six kids with Kody, took offense to Robyn’s remarks. “I’m just exhausted and so tired of being blamed for how his kids feel about him. It’s his responsibility and not mine,” she quipped.
As Sister Wives fans know, Kody had three wives when the TLC series began in 2010 and he was courting Robyn.
Kody and Meri were legally married from 1990 to 2014, when he divorced her to legally wed Robyn and adopt her kids. Meri and Kody, who share Leon, remained in a spiritual relationship until January 2023, when Meri confirmed they were done.
Kody’s relationships with Christine, 53, and Janelle fizzled out a few years prior. Kody and Christine were spiritually married from 1994 to 2021, marking the beginning of the Brown family’s falling out.
He and Janelle were spiritually linked from 1993 to 2022, when she announced they had separated.
Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
