Sneak Peek From Apple TV’s Crime Thriller ‘The Last Frontier’ Puts Haley Bennett in the Hot Seat [Exclusive]
All hell is breaking loose in Collider’s exclusive sneak peek of this week’s episode of The Last Frontier. As we wind down on the final three episodes of the high-octane production’s first season, the stakes are stacked higher and the tension is turned all the way up. Today, we’re thrilled to offer our readers a fresh look at the intrigue that awaits them in the November 21 episode, which sees Haley Bennett’s (The Magnificent Seven) CIA agent, Sidney Scofield, locked into an intense interrogation session. Since the recent reveal of her incredibly close ties to escaped convict, Havlock (Dominic Cooper), Sidney’s been feeling the heat, with all eyes now on her for what she knows and what she’s potentially been hiding from her team.
In our exclusive sneak peek, the man sitting across from Sidney holds onto a memento from her past — a treasure map that she drew with her father when she was a child. Using the worn and tattered paper as leverage, the man presses her for help in exchange for more information about the parent whom she yearns to understand better. Asking for her help in “vanishing” him as soon as possible, the man tells Sidney that he’ll put everything on the line if she does this one favor. Unfortunately, their negotiations are cut short when a masked group of armed men blasts their way into the holding area, forcing Sidney and her conversation partner to flee.
Now more than one month into the latest high-octane thriller series to hail from Apple TV, audiences have been fully sucked into the world of The Last Frontier and are very much along for the ride. What started with a downed plane filled with escaped prisoners in the wild of Fairbanks, Alaska, has turned into something much deeper and darker, with secrets popping out of the woodwork left and right. Along with Bennett’s CIA operative, the series centers around Jason Clarke’s Frank Remnick, a US Marshal who calls the snow-covered wilds of Alaska home and who rises to the challenge when tasked with putting some of the country’s most dangerous individuals back behind bars.
