Tatiana Bears & Bruno Vernaschi-Berman Launch Good Bath Production Company

EXCLUSIVE: Ahead of the Cannes launch of the anticipated Oliver Hermanus film The History of Sound, on which they’re co-producers, Tatiana Bears and Bruno Vernaschi-Berman have announced the launch of Good Bath, a New York-based independent production company focused on championing distinct voices and bold storytelling across the global indie film landscape.

“We started Good Bath to create the kind of space we always wished existed—one where filmmakers feel truly supported from the ground up,” the duo said. “We’re excited to build something bold, flexible, and deeply collaborative, and to keep championing the kinds of stories that surprise us.”

Bears and Vernaschi-Berman have extensive experience in the production of acclaimed indies and bring a collaborative, filmmaker-first ethos to Good Bath. In addition to the WWI-set History of Sound — which stars Josh O’Connor and Paul Mescal — the duo’s collective credits include Mary Bronstein’s If I Had Legs I’d Kick You (Sundance 2025); Niclas Larsson’s Mother Couch (TIFF 2023); and Halina Reijn’s A24 debut Bodies Bodies Bodies (SXSW 2022), among many others.

Good Bath’s debut feature, The Land of Nod, recently wrapped production. Written and directed by Kyle Edward Ball, the filmmaker behind cult sensation Skinamarink, the horror film was produced in partnership with Josh Safdie, Eli Bush, and Ronald Bronstein of Central Pictures, alongside SpectreVision, and will be distributed worldwide by A24.

In addition to the duo’s joint projects, Bears’ credits include Never Rarely Sometimes Always (dir. Eliza Hittman), The Young Wife (dir. Tayarisha Poe), and Socks on Fire (dir. Bo McGuire), which won a Tribeca Jury Prize in 2020. She also produced Cory Santilli’s In the Mouth, which premiered at Slamdance 2025.

Vernaschi-Berman’s credits include Problemista (dir. Julio Torres), Notice to Quit (dir. Simon Hacker), and the short film Safe (dir. Ian Barling), which premiered at Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique in 2021.

Other projects on Good Bath’s upcoming feature slate includes horror pic Passion Beach, produced in collaboration with S/B Films, and Dustin Waldman’s genre-bender My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.
