Apple just needs to replace tv for their own gaming console. Combine it all into one system. Apple TV is like dead now a days.

0:27 honestly the Apple TV 4K (1st Gen) often has a better picture then my (what was top of the line for the Amazon tv) Amazon Omni 55 inch default software.

Same TV. But different hardware powering it. And it’s the FIRST GEN Apple TV 4K…

Crap! Does not play YouTube videos at accelerated speed (even just 1.25x) at resolutions above 480p. In the app installed on the TV itself, it plays 4K at 2x speed easily. Like many Apple products, you pay a lot to have less.

lol if apple not saving password for streaming sites is one of the downsides worth mentioning, then that says a lot about the quality of this device!

Apple should make a smart TV instead of a TV box. It's very funny when you install this Apple TV box on a Google smart TV, what appears when it boots is Google and then goes to the TV OS home screen.

Apple TV is terrible. Phone app keeps opening constantly when trying to us the TV remote, and siri incorrectly finishes your searches. Horrible experience. Would not recommend if your TV is already smart.

its really fast but I hate the fact that the select button is also a touch pad. if I am not careful, I will move the selection right before pressing the button. It is a design flaw that I didnt expect to see in an Apple product

    September 25, 2024 at 5:25 am

Really looking into getting a apple TV, as although my LG C2 has a ok UI I find it can be slow sometimes, and just thought an Apple TV with an A15 is going to be really smooth, this video kind sold me plus the lack of ads is appealing too.

  20. @umbertomancino5598

    September 25, 2024 at 5:25 am

The first reason not to get this useless box is that for 180eu it doesn't even have a USB port and to watch a downloaded video you have to use another device. Apple is for fools

I had a couple of ATV's. I miss a larger screen, but am losing weight as I eat less with just 2 iPhones & a watch. lol tvOS sucks. Apple Music sluggish & artwork, wait forever. Also, Airpods Pro 2 didn't always get detected. I tried everything, & still love Apple iPhones & iOS. Maybe even watchOS; basics only, as it was sluggish with letting me choose Airpods rather than via main iPhone. Apple still has a ton of software issues; cache & download probs via Apple Music. But, I still prefer them to the other companies.

*Correction* I should have said HDR10+ when I said HDR10 in this video. HDR10 is already supported on older Apple TV4Ks, but HDR10+ is the new one supported on this version, which mainly will matter to you if you own a Samsung TV. – Josh

John Sugden accused of sex with a teenager in shock Emmerdale spoilers

John Sugden accused of sex with a teenager in shock Emmerdale spoilers

LOVE triangles are a fundamental part of soap-land, but which ones have become the most iconic?

EASTENDERS

Bradley/Stacey/Max: Stacey Slater began an affair with boyfriend Bradley Branning’s dad Max in 2007.

Despite their romps, Stacey still married Bradley, but their deceit came out in an iconic Christmas Day episode that year.

Grant/Sharon/Phil: Heading even further back in Walford history, EastEnders fans were gripped in the 90s as Sharon Watts had a one-night stand with her brother-in-law Phil Mitchell.

Sharon confided in best friend Michelle Fowler – not realising it was caught on tape – and her husband Grant eventually found out and played it in front of everyone at the Queen Vic.

Syed/Amira/Christian: Syed Masood was engaged to Amira before realising he had feelings for another man, Christian, which he confessed to him on his wedding day.

A devout Muslim, Syed refused to admit his true sexuality and went ahead and married Amira anyway, but when they returned, the two men started an affair before being caught in the act by Amira.

CORONATION STREET

Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street – extending it to bigamy.

He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.

But it didn’t stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.

Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband’s nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.

When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.

Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price’s best friend, Maria Connor.

Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day.

But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy.

EMMERDALE

Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale.

She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride’s betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.

Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well – until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.

Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.

However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.

The Great British Bake Off review: Alison Hammond steals the show

The Great British Bake Off review: Alison Hammond steals the show

I’m a little worried about Noel Fielding. During his first few years on Channel 4’s The Great British Bake Off, he enjoyed a virtual monopoly on smut and pushing at the boundaries of obscene but broadcastable innuendo. But that all changed when breakfast telly favourite Alison Hammond turned up as a co-host last year, replacing the relatively understated Matt Lucas. Now, poor old Noel has some stiff, if you’ll pardon the expression, competition. The boy’s been relegated to wandering around the Bake Off tent, engaging in weak banter while Hammond steals the show. At one point in the first episode of the 2024 series, she gives the goth such a smacker of a kiss, for no good reason, that she inflicts a mild flesh wound.

Hammond’s real shocker, you might even say showstopper, comes courtesy of a pet hen owned by one of the contestants, Georgie, a children’s nurse who lives on a farm in Carmarthenshire. You see, for unexplained reasons, Georgie has named her “favourite chicken” Fanny. Now, as talented a cook as Georgie is, I can’t help wondering if the discovery of Fanny made her a certainty to enter the GBBO tent. All too predictably come the references to a “demented and deformed Fanny”, a Fanny “with a slightly odd shape” and various other pudenda addenda. It climaxes when Georgie recreates Fanny in sponge loaf cake form, complete with lemon curd filling, and 300 individual fondant feathers. As Paul Hollywood and Noel are concentrating on sampling the cake, Hammond bellows at them in broad Brummie: “How does Fanny taste, guys?”

The presenter thus proves herself to be not only a worthy successor to Lucas, but to Barry Humphries and Kenneth Williams as well. It is possible, I put it no higher, that Channel 4 is trying to outrage middle England and make GBBO an unlikely champion in the Ofcom complaints league table – the fight for ratings can create some desperate publicity stunts. I feel almost nostalgic about the time when Mel and Sue would scold the bakers for their soggy bottoms.

This brings us to the rest of the fruit-cakery. “Overbaked” is a phrase that comes up a lot and I have to question whether the same dry and flaky quality applies to the show itself. The generally high standard of baking deprives us of some of the more emotional/hilarious moments that we have witnessed in previous series. For example, the wannabe baking megastars are asked to bake a battenberg without a recipe. They all use their common sense to produce fairly recognisable examples of the marzipan-covered treat (Prue Leith’s favourite), which means that there are no entertainingly inedible Frankensteinish concoctions, just a crop of delicious pink and yellow mini cakes.

We can see that Hazel (despite some moments of brilliance) and Christiaan (misguidedly obsessed with umami cake-making) are probably doomed, and Georgie and Sumaya are possible series champions, but they’re all so sweet and gifted that pretty much any of them would be worthy winners. The contestants are so good that it also means there’s less drama. Unlike in previous shows, no one sabotages a rival’s trifle, no food mixer explodes, and not a single scone, bun or biscuit is dropped on the floor. Instead, the “amateur” bakers are effortlessly accomplished. The creativity is sometimes breathtaking – cakes fashioned into incredibly lifelike reproductions of a leather overnight bag, a vase of flowers, a shoe and even a pair of jeans. It’s John, who creates the latter, who most deservedly wins star baker.

Lovely people, too, but it is, in truth, a bit dull, a bit too wholemeal wholesome, and I’m not sure what they would have done without that chicken with a funny name to vary the pace a bit. I have a leaked GBBO story, though, to share with you. Next week: Fanny ends up in a pie.

Second MAFS UK bride 'QUITS' the E4 show on disaster honeymoon as fans say 'this is chaos'

MARRIED At First Sight UK bride Richelle has seemingly quit the show on her honeymoon in Mauritius.

The 48-year-old is the second bride to throw in the towel on the E4 show days after walking down the aisle.

MAFS UK bride Richelle appeared to quit the series on her honeymoon

Richelle had already told Orson his ‘sob story’ about being cheated on had turned her off

It all got too much for Richelle during heartbreaking conversation with ‘husband’ Orson on their last day.

Richelle had asked to spend time apart and when they reunited in the evening, she tried to explain her fears.

However, before she could get her words out she began to cry, and an emotional Richelle said: “I think I’m done here guys”.

Richelle thought she spotted red flags in Orson when he revealed he had been cheated on five years ago and said he wasn’t quite over it.

She also felt that he wasn’t being genuine with her, when he said he had feelings after meeting only a few days before.

The buisnesswoman walked away from her groom, and a teaser for tomorrow night’s episode shows Orson attending the first dinner party of the series on his own.

Born in Ghana before moving to the UK aged 2, Richelle is super successful, as the head of alternative markets for an investment company.

She also holds a degree in politics and worked as a business consultant for many years.

Mum to a 20-year-old daughter whom she lives with, Richelle said she was now on the look out for a life partner to feel complete.

Orson appeared to be a good match on paper, as the high-flying businesswoman said she was looking for a man who is fit, funny and financially independent.

Shocking moment controversial MAFS UK groom Alex’s ‘wife swap’ secret is exposed as first dinner party explodes

Viewers branded the new series “chaos” just one week in.

One wrote on X: “This season of #MAFSUK is CHAOS! Why did one guy say he was looking forward to marriage for a s**g. Another said his wife is fat! Another can’t even compliment his wife! Goodness me.”

Another said: “F*****g hell, if they all go this is gonna be a short series!”

Wednesday night’s first dinner party of the current run also descends into chaos, as a sneak peek clip at the end of tonight’s episode showed..

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

Great British Bake Off judges in hysterics as competition returns with innuendo

The Great British Bake Off has returned for 2024 and with it comes the ever-so-familiar innuendos.

Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood, along with several contestants were in hysterics during Tuesday’s series debut (24 September), when Alison Hammond made reference to a contestant’s hen cake.

Georgie, a chicken nurse from Carmarthenshire, created a showstopper cake of her pet hen, Fanny.

Alison asked the judges: “How does Fanny taste guys?”

The question was met with lots of laughter, before Prue replied: “I think it’s absolutely lovely.”
