Strictly fans spot secret ‘feud’ between Shirley Ballas and fellow judge as they slam her annoying habit
STRICTLY fans are convinced they’ve spotted a secret feud between two judges after last night’s show.
Some have called head judge Shirley Ballas, 64, out for constantly interrupting fellow judge Craig Revel Horwood, 59.

BBC viewers branded the habit “annoying” and begged producers to step in.
One fan pointed out: “Shirley is getting irritating, some producer needs to tell her to stop interrupting Craig…the drama should be on the dancefloor not on the judges panel.”
A second echoed: “There’s banter and there’s shouting down. I know the difference even if you don’t.”
“The petty bickering is really annoying,” a third said.
Another fumed: “Can Shirley pls stop interrupting Craig (especially when he’s right) just let the man speak.”
While another begged: “CRAIG AND SHIRLEY CALM DOWN GUYS -HELP?”
During last night’s second live, Shirley was spotted cutting off Craig while he gave the contestants his feedback.
She quickly interjected when Craig told Welsh opera singer that there weren’t many “heel leads” during his routine.
Shirley fired back and said: “That is not true,” to which Craig told her: “You can’t deny it, you’re sugar coating it.”
But Shirley replied: ” I am denying it. That’s not true.”
The pair were taking swipes at each other throughout the show and again clashed over Jamie Borthwick’s dance.
Craig told the EastEnders star: “I felt it lacked connection, I felt it lacked an emotional connection between both of you.
“It felt like you were dancing by numbers. OK, you’re thinking about the dance and every move you are doing but actually didn’t lift from the space at all.
“I felt like you didn’t lift from the space at all. I felt like we lost story and everything about what a rumba is about.”
Craig’s feedback was met by a sea of boos from the audience.
Shirley was quick to jump in and said: “He needs to start somewhere with a good fundamental,” to which Craig replied: “I get that.”
She went on: “It had emotion, I like it when it is really calm.”
The other judges struggled to get a word in, with Motsi Mabuse screaming: “May I speak now?”
Elsewhere in the competition, Love Island‘s Tasha Ghouri added fuel to the ‘fix’ claims as she broke show record.
The reality star wowed the judges with her Viennese waltz on week two of the competition.
The former ITV2 personality has previously come under fire due to claims she had previous “professional training”.
Shirley and Motsi gave Tasha and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec a standing ovation after their routine.
Three of the judges – including Craig Revel Horwood – called her routine the “dance of the night and scored a total of 35.
Claudia Winkleman also revealed that it was the highest ever score of a Viennese waltz in week two in Strictly Come Dancing history.
Viewers couldn’t help but take to X – formerly known as Twitter – as they declared that she had already earned her spot in the final.
“Three 9’s in week 2???? tasha is a force to be reckoned with,” wrote one fan.
A second user posted: “Tasha’s cinched her way to the final. Like give her the 10’s right now.”

Phillip Schofield has claimed he was betrayed by those close to him when details of his affair scandal emerged.
The former presenter, 62, left ITV last year after admitting he had lied about having a consensual relationship with a younger man, who worked as a runner on This Morning.
Schofield has alleged other TV presenters have done “exactly the same thing” as him and said he could “drive the same bus over so many people”.
Speaking on the forthcoming second episode of his comeback series Cast Away, which sees him trying to survive on an island in the Indian Ocean for 10 days, Schofield expresses his love for working at the Television Centre, the filming studios in London.
“It was my greatest dream to walk into Television Centre,” he says. “At the age of 19, I became a bookings clerk at the BBC and I got a pass that got me into all of the BBC buildings.
“It was so magical to walk through those gates.”
He explains: “I loved being there. Which meant that when what happened to me happened to me, it screwed up my favourite building in the world. It pretty well blew away all those happy memories. Suddenly the place became hostile to me. And that was heartbreaking.”
Schofield left ITV last May after apologising for lying to the media, his friends and his colleagues about an affair with a younger man. The presenter said he helped the teenager secure work experience with the channel when he was around 19 but denied having any form of sexual contact with him until he was around 20 years old.
In the Cast Away episode, Schofield continues: “The people who did it to me know how important that building was to me. They know that when you throw someone under a bus, you’ve got to have a really bloody good reason to do it. Brand ambition is not good enough.”
The former This Morning presenter admits it has been “hard to come to terms with the fact that the people you thought you knew were not the people that you thought you knew”.

He adds: “They had completely different agendas. Man alive people can be fake. They can be so fake when it’s all going well and [then] sudden utter betrayal… And I thought, how many friends do you need? I don’t need 200 fake friends.
“I’ve got, what? Ten, 15 friends that I would die for, they would die for me.”
Schofield also claimed that the relationship would not have mattered if he was not gay, and suggested an affair with a woman would have meant a “pat on the back”.
He said: “I think another TV presenter or two might have done exactly the same thing, difference is heterosexual, it’s not an unusual thing in the gay world, for there to be a difference in age groups.”
His comments arrive shortly after the first episode of Cast Away, during which Schofield said he would never work with ITV again.
This August, it was rumoured Schofield would enter the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here jungle for the forthcoming series, which will be hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly.
“I’m apparently four to one [odds] to do the other jungle programme,” Schofield said from his home in London before heading to the Cast Away island.
“Now, although my best mates host it, there are some channels you just won’t work for,” he added of his relationship with ITV. “There are just some people you won’t work for.”
Cast Away airs over three nights beginning 30 September.

FICTIONAL drama Footballers’ Wives came out in 2002 – and the British public loved it so much that some of the stars who found fame on the pitch went on to become soap icons just years later.
The ITV series, which was based on real stories written by WAG Shelley Webb, gave viewers a glimpse into what being a footballer’s other half really looks like.

It was so popular that even when it stopped airing four years after it started, cast members did not need to worry about being out of a job for long.

Susie played Kyle Pascoe’s troubled wife, whose untimely exit from the show at the beginning of season three left fans devastated.
The character died of anorexia after a long feud with her mother-in-law Jackie.

Susie went on to reunite with her on-screen husband – played by Gary Lucy – when she joined Hollyoaks in 2018.

As the scheming queen bee of Footballers’ Wives, Tanya Turner became infamous for her dramatic antics – from backstabbing to bed-hopping, and even murder.
Her twisted character was so popular that Zoe reprised the role in the prison drama Bad Girls.
Following her success in both shows, the actress transitioned to mainstream soaps.
She started off by playing Max Branning’s lover Vanessa Gold in EastEnders for a year.
Zoe then went on to star in Hollyoaks as crime family matriarch Reenie McQueen.
Gary Lucy (Kyle Pascoe)

This actor is one of the exceptions, as he was already a household name when he joined Footballers’ Wives.
Gary previously starred in Hollyoaks as footballer Luke Morgan, where his character’s powerful storyline involved being raped by a rival.
Before stepping into the glitzy world of Earls Park, Gary also appeared in the football drama Dream Team, making him a natural fit for the role of Kyle.
He went on to have a stint on EastEnders as Investment Consultant Danny Pennant from 2012 to 2014.
Then, after a 15 year break from the soap, Gary finally went back to Hollyoaks in 2017.

Gillian was also in the same boat as Gary, and had an illustrious career playing Kathy Beale on EastEnders for 15 years before going on Footballers’ Wives.
She played Kyle’s mother Jackie who secretly got pregnant by Tanya’s husband Jason, the Earls Park champion striker.
However, much to the surprise of viewers, she went on to marry the club’s manager.
Some time after Jackie and Kyle headed off to Australia together, Gillian went on to get a part in Hollyoaks as nurse Sandy Roscoe.
Peter Ash (Darius Fry)

Peter kicked off his career as Tanya Turner’s 17-year-old toyboy lover on the ITV drama.
His character Darius was an up-and-coming football star, but nowhere near as good at the game as his older and more experienced teammates.
However, after Footballers’ Wives ended the actor really struck gold with his career shaping performance as Paul Foreman on Coronation Street.
Fans of the cobbles were recently left in tears as Paul passed away after a long struggle with motor neuron disease (MND) – a rare condition which affects the brain and nerves.
Peter was awarded the National Television Award for Best Newcomer for the role in 2020.
The actor also had a stint as Ron in Hollyoaks for a few months in 2018.

Saturday Night Live star Bowen Yang has claimed that Sydney Sweeney begged the cast to “make jokes about my boobs” when she hosted the show earlier this year.
The 27-year-old Euphoria and Anyone But You actor hosted SNL in March this year where she made jokes about rumours surrounding her and Glen Powell and her part in superhero flop Madame Web.
Although Sweeney’s hosting appearance was mostly viewed as a success there was some pushback about the multiple gags and sketches about her physical appearance, including one where she worked as a Hooters waitress.
However, Yang has now stated that many of the ideas for jokes came from Sweeney herself who claimed: “She was practically begging everybody.”
Speaking on the Fly on the Wall podcast, Yang said Sweeney was “an example of a host who came in and understood how she was being consumed and perceived already”.
He added: “She came in and was like, ‘Please, everyone, make jokes about my boobs.’”
Sweeney’s SNL appearance bizarrely became a political talking point with one right-wing commentator writing a think piece called: “Are Sydney Sweeney’s breasts double-D harbingers of the death of woke?”
Commenting on the debate, the Immaculate actor told NME that “there’s not anything I can do” about the obsession with her appearance.
Asked if it made her want to stay off the internet, she responded: “Um, no, I think it’s important to be aware of everything and then use that information however I may well. But I’m just being me, that’s all.”
This echoed the thoughts that she shared in an interview with Variety published on 18 March, Sweeney admitted that the constant remarks make her feel like she has “no control” over online discourse about her own appearance.

“I see it, and I just can’t allow myself to have a reaction. I don’t know how to explain it – I’m still trying to figure it out myself,” she told the outlet when asked about the viral reaction to her SNL debut.
“People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want, because they believe that I’ve signed my life away. That I’m not on a human level anymore, because I’m an actor. That these characters are for everybody else, but then me as Sydney is not for me anymore,” Sweeney said. “It’s this weird relationship that people have with me that I have no control or say over.”

If we still have to collate papers primitively gather people in a room and do all these as the only standard. Can somebody help make sense of the need for all the billions INEC spent on IT infrastructures procurement, training etc. ?

Sincerely speaking, i don't believe n have faith in this process bcos it is not transparent as the bvas are not in use. We are not kids n we know it is possible to display the figures on the screen as it is being cast. Let the votes be running on the screen for every viewer to see. I am highly disappointed in this process. We can do better. I still have faith in Nigeria.

Mahmood Yakubu tried to improve on his performance at this off- season election Edo Governorship Election 2024 by ensuring that all officials including INEC Staff used in this Election personally apply for the various post and gave them all they require to perform their duties efficiently and make this Election a success. But, the insatiable Electoral Officers (EOs) deployed because of their greed for mpney in collaboration with some of Parties that contested in this Election did their worst to create issues and to tarnish the image of INEC Leadership. Whereas there were issues with any of the BIVAS machines deployed, these corrupt EOs ensure that BIVAS were not used to capture Voters in most PUs in their LGAs. They refused to enter votes scored for some Parties most especially the LP who vote they added to that of their Pay Master on the field.
It hoped that INEC would use the dismissal and prosecution of these corrupt and insatiable Electoral Officers caught in manipulation of Election results in their areas of authority during yesterday's (last Saturdays) election as an example others of like minds.
This singular action by INEC will go a long way to redeeming the image of INEC.
