With the full Dancing On Ice 2025 cast line-up now confirmed – and Holly Willoughby‘s show kicking off in January – Sir Steve has taken his first glides on the ice.

Yet images show while he’s a natural on water, on a frozen surface, it’s a different story.

Wrapped in a blue jumper and dark trousers, he took his first tentative moves accompanied by a male pal.

He held his arms out for balance as he made his way across the rink.

Yet before he could reach the other side of the hoardings he fell face first – putting his arms out to support his fall.

Sir Steve then sparked concern as he lay with his cheek on the freezing cold ice before his companion helped him up.

The sports ace, who won gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games, recently spoke out about his Dancing On Ice debut.

He told This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: “I must be closest to being one of the oldest, if not the oldest, on the show, but I’m certainly the heaviest that’s ever been on the show.

“120 kilos, so that’s around 20 stone, so I’m not light.

“And I’ve been asking [for] somebody big that can lift me.”

When asked why he was giving it a go, Sir Steve laughed: “I don’t know!

“But earlier this year on the series it was Torvill and Dean‘s 40th anniversary of winning their gold medal, and it’s my 40th anniversary as well … and we’re friends.

“Some of my friends are saying it’s a midlife crisis, but I’m too old for a midlife crisis!”

The real reason Sir Steve decided to sign up for the series was recently revealed – this being to keep fit and lose weight.

He has also been candid about being a Type 2 Diabetic.

After the full line-up for one of telly’s most daredevil shows came to light, fans were left moaning how Love Island’s Chris Taylor is “on every show.”

Anton Du Beke reveals why he never got angry with ‘awful’ Strictly partners

Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has said he never got angry with his celebrity dance partners while he was a professional on the show.

Throughout his time as a professional, Du Beke often found himself paired with celebrities who either failed to make it far in the competition including, Anne Widdecombe, Gillian Taylforth, Lesley Joseph and Susannah Constantine.

“I say this in the nicest way but none of them are 25. They are wonderful, interesting, fabulous, brilliant, funny, intelligent women who I enjoyed every second with, but it is what it is,” he said.

Du Beke said the most he could ask of his partner was that they “try their best”, adding: “That is as much as you can do.”Read more below:

Chris McCausland responds to Toyah Willcox’s It Takes Two blunder

While it’s clear that Willcox was aiming to complement McCausland for his dancing skills and popularity among Strictly fans, the comments backfired among viewers who said the remark was “uncalled for” and “mean”. However, McCausland has since defended Willcox online, saying that the singer has been “nothing but beautiful and supportive” during their few weeks together on the dancing competition.

“What she said on It Takes Two was funny and an incredible bloody compliment,” he said.

Watch emotional moment chart-topping rapper Rag 'n' Bone Man breaks down in tears on Graham Norton Show

RAG ‘N’ Bone man choked back tears as he opened up on the hugely poignant meaning behind his new album.

The Human hitmaker, 39, performed fresh track, Pocket, live on the BBC‘s Graham Norton Show on Friday.

Yet it was when the Uckfield-born star arrived on the programme’s star-studded sofa, alongside the likes of comedienne Miranda Hart, 51, and musician Selena Gomez, 32, when emotion hit.

Opening up on the heart-wrenching track, from fresh release What Do You, host Graham told how the lyrics came from “a beautiful sad place.”

Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, real name Rory Graham, agreed and said: “I was trying to figure out how to talk to children about loss and how you sugar coat things and say someone has gone to a better place.

“Even if you don’t necessarily believe that, it was OK to say.

“And I guess what do you believe in means – ohh sorry,” before a sharp intake of breath.

As he continued to stay silent, host Graham said: “Are you OK? You don’t look …” before the audience filled the silence with a round of applause.

Rag ‘n’ Bone man said: “No I am good.”

Graham, offering further support, added: “If its hard to talk about then don’t, honestly you’re fine.”

Yet the hitmaker battled on and said: “Basically I was trying to tell my kids about the loss of my mum.

“And basically what I concluded was it doesn’t really matter what we believe in, it’s about our collective love for each other, and how we get through that together as a family.”

After the emotional confession, Graham replied: “I didn’t mean to upset you but thank you for sharing that.”

Addressing the panel on the sofa, the tattooed singer said: “I didn’t want to bring things down.”

Trying to add a splash of humour Graham quipped: “And also it is one of those things – you’ve called the album that so you are going to have to tell that story again, so I’m so sorry.”

Jane was a key figure in the Uckfield music scene prior to her passing in January 2023.

Fans were quick to take to X to comment on the emotional scenes.

One remarked: “An emotional but lovely #GrahamNorton tonight! Both Miranda and Rag N Bone Man sharing today, and love how supportive the other celebs were!”

Another posted: “I’m not a follower of any of the guests on the #GrahamNorton show, BUT it just gets better, glued to the screen. Proper emotional stories and connections.”

A third put: “That was like a therapy session tonight …”

Another mused: “Ooo love #Ragnboneman on #GrahamNorton tonight.”

The singer recently raised eyebrows among fans as he revealed his very normal job before finding fame.

Ian Hislop has spiky Have I Got News For You exchange with ex-Tory MP Andrea Jenkyns: ‘You’ve got no evidence’

Ian Hislop exchanged words with former Conservative MP Andrea Jenkyns during Friday’s (11 October) episode of Have I Got News For You.

The awkward exchange was ignited when Jenkyns praised former prime minister Boris Johnson, prompting groans from the audience in the studio. At this point, she accused the long-running BBC panel show of deliberately selecting its audience to be stacked with people critical of the Conservative party.

Hislop, one of the team captains on the series alongside comedian Paul Merton, described the claim as “b*****ks”.

Jenkyns served as the Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood from 2015 to 2024, but lost in the election earlier this year.

During Johnson’s controversial time in office, she was made Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Skills. Johnson’s stint as prime minister was widely criticised for his handling of the Covid pandemic, and the violation of his own lockdown restrictions in the scandal that became known as “partygate”.

Speaking about the possibility of Johnson returning to politics on Have I Got News For You, Jenkyns said: “I don’t think it’s over for him. I still think Boris was one of our better prime ministers.”

This remark drew groans of dissent from the studio audience. Jenkyns then turned to Hislop and said: “I see you’ve selected the audience. The people who don’t like Boris or Conservatives.”

“You can’t just say, ‘You’ve selected the audience,’” Hislop responded. “You’ve got no evidence for that, no proof. It’s just b*****ks. This isn’t GB News.”

Viewers shared their reactions to the exchange on social media, with some deeming the encounter “awkward”.

Earlier this month, Hislop made headlines when a taxi he was travelling in was briefly thought to have been targeted by gunfire.

The panel show stalwart, who is also the longstanding editor of Private Eye, was travelling through Soho, London on Tuesday morning when the window of his car suddenly shattered.

Urgent forensic examinations were undertaken, but showed that no firearm had been discharged. Instead, it is believed that a mechanical fault may have caused the window to shatter, according to the police.

Hislop and Merton subsequently saw the funny side of the incident during an episode of Have I Got News For You, with Merton quipping: “I have an alibi.”

Graham Norton Show viewers left crying as Miranda Hart moves Selena Gomez to tears

Graham Norton Show viewers left crying as Miranda Hart moves Selena Gomez to tears

An emotional interaction between Miranda Hart and Selena Gomez on The Graham Norton Show reduced viewers to tears on Friday night (11 October).

British comedian Hart, 51, opened up about her struggles with lyme disease in a new autobiography I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest With You.

Appearing on Graham Norton’s BBC talk show, she credited fellow guest Gomez with inspiring her to speak openly about her diagnosis. Gomez, the 32-year-old star of Only Murders in the Building, starred in a 2022 Apple TV+ documentary called My Mind & Me, which tracked her life and wellbeing after being diagnosed with lupus and bipolar disorder.

When both stars shared the sofa on The Graham Norton Show, Hart began thanking Gomez for giving her the “courage” to write about her own medical crisis.

“I watched Selena’s documentary and it gave me the courage to be vulnerable and share my feelings about my disease,” she said. “It kept me writing.”

Gomez can be seen tearing up at the admission – and so, too, did viewers at home.

Fans of The Graham Norton Show shared heartfelt reactions to the moment on X/Twitter.

“This is so touching,” one wrote. “A Miranda Hart and Selena Gomez interaction in 2024 is still so surreal to me.”

“Don’t think I’ve ever cried at the graham norton show before,” remarked another. “Selena and Miranda are two of my biggest inspirations and being chronically ill myself this moment was just everything to me

“Is anyone else tearing up watching Selena tear up?” wrote the official Graham Norton Show account, prompting several other people to answer in the affirmative.

Hart’s memoir covers her retreat from the limelight in recent years. In the book, she writes that she felt like an “outsider” because of her health issues and anxiety attacks.

“I was debilitated but also lucky in so many ways – I feared being perceived as complaining,” she wrote. “I realise now why so many experts and therapists became so after their own recoveries – I think in particular of the help I got from the Optimum Health Clinic, and why they, among others, call it ‘chronic invisible illness’. The invisibility is part of the problem.”

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that can cause severe physical and mental problems if allowed to progress. Humans most often catch lyme disease via tick bites, if a tick has previously bitten an infected animal.

Elsewhere in the memoir, Hart also revealed that she had got married at the age of 51.
