Meet Peppa Pig and her family:
Peppa Pig is a lovable but slightly bossy little pig. She is four years old and lives with Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and her little brother George.

Peppa likes playing with her best friend Suzy Sheep, visiting Granny and Grandpa Pig and looking after George. Most of all, Peppa loves jumping up and down in muddy puddles, laughing and making loud snorting noises.

George Pig is Peppa’s little brother. He is 18 months old and loves to play with his big sister, Peppa – even when she’s being bossy. George’s favourite thing is his toy dinosaur. He carries it everywhere with him. George can’t speak yet but can say one word very well: ‘Dine-saw!’

Mummy Pig likes jumping up and down in muddy puddles almost as much as Peppa. She works from home on her computer and sometimes lets Peppa and George help, as long as they don’t bash the keyboard. She is better at map reading than Daddy Pig and is very wise about most things.
Daddy Pig is very jolly and laughs all the time, especially when he plays with Peppa and George.

Daddy Pig reads the paper and gets excited about trips in the car. He loves cookies and pumpkin pie and Peppa teases him about his big round tummy. Daddy Pig can be a tiny bit grumpy sometimes when he can’t remember where he put his glasses.

Have fun with Peppa Pig and her friends: Suzy Sheep, Rebecca Rabbit, Danny Dog, Candy Cat, Pedro Pony, Zoe Zebra, Emily Elephant, Freddy Fox, Kylie Kangaroo, Wendy Wolf, Gabriella Goat, Gerald Giraffe, Molly Mole, Belinda Bear, Delphine Donkey, Peggi and Pandora Panda, Mandy Mouse, Simon Squirrel!

Following the final episode, Davina, 56, took to social media to tease fans about the future of the show.

The popular programme, which was commissioned for a second series earlier this year, could be back next year after Davina urged her followers to tag some who deserved a spot at plush retreat.

The presenter told fans: “I wanted to ask you a question…if we got another series, who do you think would need/deserve/enjoy a spot in the retreat.”

Davina added: “You can tag them below.”

Each series sees the My Mum, Your Dad single parents move into a luxury retreat, located in Midhurst, West Sussex.

The swanky mansion is said to be worth over £8 million.

The huge country house is set in 45 acres, meaning there is plenty of space for the singletons to roam around in.

There are also a whopping 11 bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Last night, viewers watched as Vicky and David met each other’s daughters – but some fans aren’t holding out much hope for the couple.

Despite her concerns, Vicky’s daughter Angharad, 28, gave her approval for her mum to pursue a relationship with David.

David’s daughter Tiana, 21, also gave the nod for their partnership.

But although the couple still appeared to be giving it a go two months after they left the retreat, fans do not believe they will last the distance.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: “In the words my old man used to say ‘I’ll give them a week’ regarding Vicky and David.”

Another added: “David making it up as he goes along, like being in an interview you try to wing.”

A third remarked: “I’m just not feeling the love from David.. lovely man but a tad emotionally stunted.. sorry guys!”

My Mum Your Dad returned for a second series earlier this month.

The ITV show, fronted by Davina, sees middle-aged, single parents attempt to find love as their grown-up kids watch on.

On Friday night, the series reached a climax with three remaining couples being whisked on final dates outside of the retreat.

They also included Jenny and Danny, and Steph and Paul.

Vicky, 50, and David, 53, were treated to a romantic hot air balloon ride, while Jenny and Danny watched a movie about themselves in a vintage cinema.

Steph and Paul, meanwhile, were served a slap up lunch in the countryside.

During their meal, Steph and Paul decided they were better off as friends and bowed out of the experiment.

Vicky and David, and Jenny and Danny continued through until the end of the show, where they received the nod of approval from their kids.

Despite being unhappy about several rocky moments, Vicky’s daughter Angharad decided to approve her mum’s new man.

And two months on, they were filmed together with David and Tiana in Vicky and Angharad’s native Wales – proving they were making a go of things.

Once the series finale had aired, host Davina took to X and posted a video of herself looking tearful.

She then encouraged fans to tag someone they think “deserves a place in the retreat”, in the hope a third series is commissioned.

‘Real Martha’ Baby Reindeer lawsuit to go forward as judge rules series not a ‘true story’

‘Real Martha’ Baby Reindeer lawsuit to go forward as judge rules series not a ‘true story’

Fiona Harvey’s defamation lawsuit against Netflix has been allowed to go forward after a judge ruled that the streamer’s hit series Baby Reindeer did not match up to its billing as a “true story”.

The series, which follows a struggling comic Donny Dunn (Richard Gadd) as he is relentlessly harassed and stalked by a woman named Martha Scott (played by Jessica Gunning) for more than four years, was embroiled in controversy when internet sleuths unearthed the “real Martha” as Scottish lawyer Harvey.

Harvey responded by filing a defamation lawsuit against Netflix in which she alleged that the story is inaccurate and falsely depicted her as a convicted criminal who spent time in prison for stalking.

In July, Netflix filed a motion to throw out the lawsuit, with the show’s creator and star Gadd revealing that Harvey had stalked him when he worked at a London pub, and had sent him thousands of disturbing emails and voicemail messages.

In a ruling on Friday, Judge Gary Klausner stated that the series opens with the line “This is a true story,” which invites the viewer to take what is presented to them as fact. However, Judge Klausner found that Martha’s behaviour in the show is depicted as much worse than what Harvey was accused of in real life.

In the series, Martha pleads guilty to stalking and harassment and is sent to jail. However, Gadd reported Harvey to the police and she received a warning but was not criminally prosecuted as the series suggests.

“There is a major difference between stalking and being convicted of stalking in a court of law,” the judge wrote. “Likewise, there are major differences between inappropriate touching and sexual assault, as well as between shoving and gouging another’s eyes. While plaintiff’s purported actions are reprehensible, defendants’ statements are of a worse degree and could produce a different effect in the mind of a viewer.”

The court “disagreed” with Netflix’s argument that the similarities between the character Martha and Harvey are “so broad that a reasonable person would not have been able to identify her”.

Instead, the judge said: “Rather, Martha and Plaintiff have specific similarities that few others could claim to share. Specifically, Martha and Plaintiff are both Scottish lawyers living in London, twenty years older than Donny/Gadd, accused of stalking a lawyer in a newspaper article, who communicated with Donny/Gadd on social media.”

Harvey was never named on the show, but her identity was quickly revealed by online sleuths who followed digital breadcrumbs from clues in the series, like searching the wording of specific tweets depicted in the series online – and finding Harvey’s account.

A federal judge has set a 6 May start date for Harvey’s action against Netflix, and proceedings are estimated to last about two weeks.

The series is billed as a “true story,” which Harvey argues in her $170m (£132m) lawsuit is “the biggest lie in television history”.

According to documents seen by The Independent, Harvey has accused Netflix of defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of her right to privacy among other allegations.

While Gadd isn’t named as a defendant in the lawsuit, he filed a response in federal court defending a motion to dismiss Harvey’s claim in a declaration dated 28 July.

“I never intended the series to identify any real person as Martha Scott, including Harvey,” he wrote in the 21-page document. “Martha Scott is not Fiona Harvey. Like all characters in the series, Martha is a fictional character with fictional personality traits that are very different than Harvey’s.”

A Netflix spokesperson said at the time of the lawsuit’s filing: “We intend to defend this matter vigorously and to stand by Richard Gadd’s right to tell his story.”

Despite the controversy surrounding the series, Gadd’s show won four Emmy awards and 11 nominations at the 2024 ceremony earlier this month.

The Scottish comedian used his acceptance speech to encourage “struggling” abuse survivors to “keep going,” promising them that “things will be OK”.

Inside Bake Off star Iain Watters surprising off-screen life 10 years after 'bingate' row shocked the nation

VIEWERS are celebrating the return of the UK institution that is The Great British Bake Off this week.

But as a new group of competitors gather to roll, sift and cream their way to success – it’s hard to believe that it has been a full decade since one of the most infamous moments in Bake Off history.

It has been a decade since one of the most controversial moments in GBBO history

Audiences will all remember the episode where Iain Watters was axed from the competition after throwing his ruined Baked Alaska into the bin in a fit of rage.

The construction engineer claimed his dessert was not fit to present to judges after it got taken out of the freezer by fellow contestant Diana Beard, who was trying to squeeze hers in.

Iain was sent home by Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood when he failed to show them his creation.

He has since maintained that the BBC were at fault for the incident rather than Diana, who suffered from backlash after the scene was aired.

In an interview with the Guardian, Iain said: “I feel bad for Diana because she’s had quite a mauling on Twitter and I don’t like all the nasty comments that have been directed towards her.

“I think it’s a bit unfair and I do think they could have edited the episode a bit better.

“It was more of a technical error than a baking error and it maybe should have been taken into account a bit more.

“There was a lot of discussion afterwards off camera between the contestants and a lot of the bakers thought they shouldn’t have thrown anyone off the show that week because of the way it happened.”

It was later revealed that two of the Bake Off freezers had broken that day, leaving contestants with limited space to store their Showstoppers.

GBBO loyals recently revisited the memorable moment on social media.

Great British Bake Off fans fume as they slam major format change

One person posted the dramatic clip of Iain’s so-called ‘bingate’, and fans rallied to express their outrage at him being booted from the show.

“The anger I still feel after all these years. Can’t imagine how he feels!” one person commented, while another wrote, “Nope, still not over it.”

Back in 2014, there was so much controversy over Iain’s exit that the BBC had to issue a statement clarifying that Diana’s removal of Iain’s ice cream from the freezer for “less than a minute” was not the reason for his elimination.

At the time Bake Off host Sue Perkins also defended the decision made by the judges, saying: “Iain’s Alaska was out of the freezer for 40 secs. That’s it. No sabotage. 40 secs of normal temp would NOT be enough to reduce it to liquid.”

Diana, who received a horrific tirade of abuse online, said she was made a “scapegoat” by show bosses while slamming the editing.

“I’m disappointed with the way it’s been portrayed,” she told BBC Radio Shropshire. “I’ve been stitched up, haven’t I?

“We were 12 amateur bakers, there’s no prize money involved. Why would I sabotage Iain’s Baked Alaska?”

Despite the media frenzy that followed his Bake Off appearance, Iain has taken the drama in his stride.

He returned to his regular job as a project manager in construction after the show aired.

By 2015, he was spotted working on a project at Queen Mary University in East London, where he helped build new library and gym facilities.

Although he occasionally gets recognised for his “distinct look”, Iain has largely moved on from his time on TV.

In 2016, Iain made a final light-hearted nod to his time on GBBO while tying the knot with his partner, Catriona Mills.
