Race Across The World star Viv’s new TikTok praised by VERY unexpected A-list fan – and fans can’t believe it
RACE Across the World Star Viv was a stand-out star on the BBC show with her husband Stephen.
As the oldest contestants in the competition, they didn’t win the race, but millions were impressed by their plucky determination and good British humour.

And it seems the sexagenarians have even caught the eye of an A-list popstar.
Adventurer Viv gave an insight into how she keeps fit by sharing a TikTok video of her doing a dance routine in her very spacious kitchen and global US megastar Meghan Trainor, 30, commented on her post.
The US popstar known for her hit song, All About That Bass, who has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide wrote: “My new favourite person.”
To which Viv, who shares her TikTok account with her husband Stephen said: “Hi Meghan TBH you’re our favourite person too, your music just makes us want to dance.”
Indeed others commented on Viv’s dance ability: One said: “You’d slay at Zumba.”
Another said: “This woman knows how to ball change.”
Meanwhile another said: I love you in Race Across the world.”
Retirees Stephen and Viv helped to make TV gold earlier this year when they competed on the BBC’s Race Across the World with their sturdy spirits and hilarious banter.
The Rutland-based couple who have five children, were keen for a challenge after they’d finished working and so they made a decision to apply.
Having competed in the race through Asia, stopping in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia, Stephen and Viv embraced the adventure with a small budget, no smartphones and just their backpacks, proving themselves to be hard working and resilient.
Viewers were impressed by the strength of their marriage and the easy going banter between them.
In a touching moment in the video, asked to sum Viv up in one word, Stephen says: “Mine’s easy – ‘Mighty’. She is a mighty lady. She does everything for everyone, she’s wonderful, she’s… I’m getting emotional here. But she’s absolutely my perfect one.”
With contrasting style, Viv describes Stephen as ‘Marmite’.
“He’s Marmite and you do either love him or you hate him – you either get him or you don’t.”
But she adds, despite all the pressure of Race Across the World, “There was never one single moment when we had a bad word against each other… It just means that we are such a strong couple.”
The pair never want to fall into the archetypal image of being old and like to keep fit, playing tennis a weekly ballroom class and bowling.

Fans of the Netflix series Nobody Wants This have bemoaned a “concerning” detail in Netflix’s recent season two announcement.
It was announced earlier this week that the series, a romcom about a sex podcaster (Kristen Bell) and a rabbi (Adam Brody), would be returning to the streamer for a second run.
On Thursday (10 October), Netflix shared the news in an article posted on its website Tudum, titled, “Nobody Wants This Is Returning for Season 2, Because You Wanted It.”
Erin Foster, the creator of the series and showrunner of its first-season, said: “Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me.
“The incredible cast, crew, producers, and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed.”
However, Foster will be moving into an executive producer role for the forthcoming second season, with showrunning duties instead being shared by Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, known for their work on HBO’s Girls.
While Konner and Kaplan are highly respected TV writers in their own right, the change in showrunners has raised alarm bells among some of the show’s fans.
In recent years, acclaimed series such as Killing Eve and The Girlfriend Experience have switched up their showrunner role after being renewed for a second season, only for the follow-ups to be met with disappointed reactions.
“Nobody Wants This season 2!!!! but the showrunner change is very concerning,” one person wrote on X/Twitter. “I’ve been traumatized by it in the past.”

“With a new showrunner. I’m scared,” wrote another.
“Why did they switch showrunners?” wrote another person, alongside a “weary face” emoji.
Writer Jessica Ellis commented: “I didn’t think the portrayal of Jewish women was fair, but this is an extreme move in the business, especially for a show that scored huge in its opening week.”
Foster had attracted criticism following the release of the first season regarding the programme’s depiction of Jewish people. The showrunner, who converted to Judaism as an adult, was accused of stereotyping in the story, which is based on her own life.
Speaking to the LA Times, Foster was asked about the claims of stereotyping in the series. She responded: ““I think we need positive Jewish stories right now.
“I think it’s interesting when people focus on, ‘Oh, this is a stereotype of Jewish people,’ when you have a rabbi as the lead. A hot, cool, young rabbi who smokes weed.”
She continued: “That’s the antithesis of how people view a Jewish rabbi, right?”
