Strictly Come Dancing’s Wynne Evans reveals backstage struggle just two days before live show – after Katya ‘grope’ row
WITH his Rumba fast approaching, Strictly’s Wynne Evans has opened up about his worries two days before this weekend’s live shows.
Wynne and his pro partner Katya Jones are set to deliver their dance to Dame Shirley Bassey’s ‘This is My Life’.
Their Rumba, which is for the show’s special Icons week, has left Wynne worrying as he reveals one huge concern.
Talking to It Takes Two he said: “Rumba I’m enjoying but I don’t know if I’m doing it right. I’ve got concerns about the hips. The hips, the hips, the hips.”
Katya then showed her support, saying, “The hips are getting looser. Wynne’s got beautifully shaped long legs so if we can put the legs with the hips, it’ll be perfection.”
“Can we get there by Saturday, who knows?”
Wynne had already admitted to feeling anxious about his upcoming dance, telling fans during an Instagram Q&A: “I don’t know. I don’t look at what’s coming up. I just have to focus on getting through this week.”
“I’m now the oldest and the fattest, so the fact I’ve made it this far is incredible.”
“So just focus on this week and getting through this week and then we’ll see if I’m there next week.”
“There’s a lot of hips in the rumba, I may have actually discovered where my hips are.”
It’s been a rocky road to reach the Rumba.
The 52-year-old singer has faced a huge backlash following a ‘grope’ incident with Katya Jones, which left the couple having to publicly apologise for what they called an ‘inside joke.’
Wynne admitted to feeling ‘heartbroken’ after their joke was misconstrued.
The pair posted a video on Instagram assuring everyone they were just messing around and it had been taken out of context.
However he said: “I’m absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day.”
“It’s not nice to live in that time, but basically Katya and I are really, really close and we’re really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke.”
He continued: “She wasn’t offended in the least. She doesn’t feel uncomfortable.”
“We’ve got a brilliant friendship, an absolutely tight friendship, and I’m sorry if anybody was offended by it, but it was a joke. And that’s all there is. There is no real story, really.”
“I feel weird apologising becaise I feel like I’ve not really done anything.”

Star Trek actor roasts Trump’s garbage truck stunt with one brutal line
With less than a week to go until the United States presidential election, both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are pulling out all the stops in an attempt to win over voters, with the latter resorting to appearing in a garbage truck.
Trump got off his private plane in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday evening and, donning a bright orange safety vest, got into a garbage truck in an attempt to troll Joe Biden and Harris.
Just days after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe sparked controversy at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally for comments about Puerto Rico, the former president again tried to show that he was in touch with the common man by doing a regular job.
Speaking to members of the press at the photo-op, Trump said “How do you like my garbage truck?” adding that it was “in honour of Kamala and Joe Biden” and proceeded to say the president “should be ashamed of himself”.
Trump was referring to a claim that Biden had called his supporters “garbage,” something that the president has denied.
Images and clips of Trump’s stunt soon went viral on social media with many pointing out that putting your name on a garbage truck doesn’t create the best optics.
Chiming in with one of the strongest pu tdowns was former Star Trek actor, George Takei, who played Lt Hikaru Sulu in numerous TV shows and films since 1966.
Taking a swipe at Trump, the 87-year-old referred to the “dumpster fire” metaphor, writing on X/Twitter: “In fairness, it’s not really a Trump garbage truck until it’s on fire.”
Takei wasn’t the only one taking shots at Trump for the stunt.
His niece, Mary, who is an outspoken critic of her uncle, wrote: “Hm, interesting choice to place the garbage in the front of the truck.”

Former Trump aide Alyssa Farah Griffin ran through how she felt the Republican candidate’s outing went in a post on X: “Is it an effective stunt? No. He’s assuming voters hear ‘garbage’ & think of Biden’s gaffe.. but Trump campaign’s Puerto Rico debacle is much deeper in the zeitgeist. A total fail.”
She added: “Trump platforms offensive joke leading to days of outrage; Trump tries to clean it up on Fox; Biden steps in it, unintentionally gives Trump a lifeline; Trump’s genius campaign: ‘Let’s remind everyone we offended Puerto Ricans & called America garbage by driving a garbage truck!’”
Harris spokesperson Sarafina Chitika posted: “The candidate who called America a ‘trash can’; Whose rally called Puerto Rico ‘garbage’; Is riding around in a garbage truck for fun. Is this an in-kind donation to @KamalaHQ?”
Voting in the election will close on Tuesday (5 November) with polls showing that Trump and Harris are virtually neck and neck in the race for the White House.

Tommy Fury ‘lined up for another ITV reality show’ after quitting I’m A Celeb talks weeks before flying out to Australia
ACCORDING to TV insiders ITV bosses are trying to coax Tommy Fury into signing up for a huge reality show.
The boxer previously agreed to appear on this year’s series of I’m A Celeb but pulled out just weeks before filming started.
It is believed he changed his mind after getting a higher paying offer from a rival that was going into production during the time he would have needed to be in Australia.
The more lucrative project is said to be a rematch between him and KSI.
Now the Mirror has revealed he is being “eyed up” for the next series of Celebrity Big Brother.
An insider source told the publication: “These are big money offers flying around, as Tommy is hot property.
“Everyone who followed his relationship wants to know why they split so suddenly, so signing him for another reality series would be a huge ratings boost.”
Molly-Mae Hague publicly split up with Tommy in August, which she announced via an Instagram story.
Her heartbreaking statement read: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
“After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.
“I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter.”
It was reported that their five year relationship ended over cheating, which Tommy has since denied doing.
Ahead of his autobiography’s release, he said: “I think if you were going to cheat on someone you should just sit down and say, ‘I don’t love you any more’, clearly, because you want to go and pursue other people.
‘When you get to that stage, I think you should just call it a day. If you want to go out there and have affairs with women then you definitely shouldn’t be with your partner. Definitely not. And have I ever reached that point? No.”
Tommy has also recently declared that he still loves Molly and will do whatever it takes to win her back.

Jennifer Aniston shares presidential endorsement choice days before 2024 election
Jennifer Aniston has endorsed Kamala Harris for president months after criticising Donald Trump’s vice-presidential candidate JD Vance.
The same day that Arnold Schwarzenegger shared his surprising pick for president, the Friends star selected her official pick on Wednesday (30 October), calling a vote for Harris in the forthcoming election a “vote for sanity and human decency”.
Aniston’s decision will come as no surprise considering she previously criticised Vance’s resurfaced comments calling Democrat women a “bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives” who are making “the country miserable too”.
She wrote to her 44.8 million followers on Instagram: “Hi friends. Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.
“Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters.”
Aniston, who currently stars in Apple TV+ series The Morning Show, added: “I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?
“Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy – and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us.
“We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands!” Aniston concluded her post. “We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors and let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE.”
Back in July, Aniston said of Vance’s “childless cat lady” comments: “I truly can’t believe that this is coming from a potential VP of the United States.”

Directly criticising his stance on IVF, the actor continued: “All I can say is… Mr Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day. I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option,” she wrote. “Because you are trying to take that away from her, too.”
Vance made the comments during a 2021 interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, when he questioned Harris’s leadership credentials because she does not have biological children.
He said in the clip that the country was run by “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too”.
“Look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children,” Vance said. “How does it make any sense we’ve turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?”

James Corden addresses Gavin & Stacey ‘spoiler’ after on-set photo leak
James Corden has teased a series of spoilers about the forthcoming Gavin and Stacey Christmas special finale.
The 46-year-old actor and his co-writer Ruth Jones finished filming the final episode of the BBC sitcom earlier this month. The episode will air on Christmas Day.
Speaking at the Global Gift Gala in London on Monday, Corden hinted that there would be two funerals in the forthcoming Christmas special.
While addressing the crowd, Corden said he had been editing the show that same day and that the funeral scenes were “hard to watch”, before he teased, “But was there a funeral? Maybe yes. Maybe no!”
Though there has been plenty of speculation about what will happen in the finale, Jones previously joked about potential outcomes, and told fans in Barry, “I go ‘There’s going to be a helicopter crash, most of the cast is going to get killed,’ and I just make stuff up!”
During filming, Corden shared a behind-the-scenes image on set, with a picture of Smithy’s car and advert for his self-employed builder and decorator business, complete with the tagline: “If your husband won’t do it – I will…tilin [sic], roofin [sic], plasterin [sic], & feng shui.” The picture also includes a phone number to call Smithy on.
Rob Brydon, who played Uncle Bryn in the series, has said he was “emotional” when reading the script, while Alison Steadman, who plays Gavin’s mum Pam, told The One Show’s Alex Jones that the cast were all in tears when they wrapped filming in early October.
“We’ve had a great five weeks, we only finished on Monday night. But we were all dreading that final scene. I think 90 per cent of us were in tears, some people braved it – it’s been so fantastic.”
First aired between 2007 and 2010, the series stars Mathew Horne and Joanna Page as Gavin and Stacey, an Essex boy from Billericay and a Welsh girl from Barry Island, who fall in love from afar, and tracks how their families unite as their romance develops.

The finale will pick up after the 2019 Christmas finale cliffhanger, which saw Nessa and Smithy’s long-running love-hate relationship hit its climax as Nessa declared her love for Smithy, and got down on one knee to propose.
Fans have been waiting nearly five years for Smithy’s response, since the episode cuts before he had the chance to reply.

Kat Slater devastated by news from social services as abusive son Tommy twists the knife in EastEnders
EastEnders viewers will watch as a heartbroken Kat Slater is left shocked by her son Tommy Moon in the meeting with social services
As the parent and child abuse storyline continues in EastEnders, viewers are left feeling for Kat Slater as her son Tommy Moon appears distant to his mother.
BBC viewers have watched as Kat is in pieces ahead of the social services meeting about Tommy and continued to blank Stacey and Jean, who she holds responsible after she reported the teenager’s beahviour.
Alfie has begged Stacey to call a truce and tells a fib to get Kat to meet the Slaters at The Vic.
Yet when she arrives, Kat is furious to have been hoodwinked, but Alfie gave an impassioned speech and they reconcile so it appears all is well.
After Kat told Alfie she’s grateful, Freddie picked up on how insane their chemistry is, and Alfie admitted he still has feelings for Kat.
Yet in the next episode, it’s time for the meeting with social services, which Kat has been dreading.
During the social services meeting, Kat is devastated by how cold Tommy is towards her and fears they’ll never get their boy back.
However, the social worker says they can begin to work towards Tommy returning home, and no longer needing to stay next door with James.
In the meeting Alfie tells the social worker that they desperately want Tommy back for Christmas and even manages to get through to their son a little, ending the session on a positive note.
Once back at the flat, a grateful Kat surprises Alfie with a kiss meaning he might not be the only one with old feelings still there.
Tommy’s violent actions have been a rocky time for both Alfie and Kat, with Kat bearing the brunt of the troubled teenager’s outbursts.
Shocked EastEnders viewers watched as Tommy punched his mother in the stomach back in July.
His behaviour has gotten worse in recent weeks, with lashing out at his siblings, leaving poor Kat terrified.
Kat Moon’s EastEnders Timeline
Kat Slater burst onto the Square in 2000 as feisty Kat Slater, played by Jessie Wallace. She is the eldest sister of the Slater family. She soon makes a big name for herself. She is a loud and brash character who is renowned for her leopard print skimpy outfits and loads of red lipstick. She has played the ‘tart with a heart’ character but has also had an epic love story with Alfie. Here is a rundown of her greatest soap storylines.
- Kat arrives in Walford as part of the Slater clan, She soon begins a fling with Steve Owen (Martin Kemp) behind the back of his girlfriend Mel Healey (Tamzin Outhwaite).
- Kat’s sister Zoe (played by Michelle Ryan) was revealed to be her sister after shocked viewers learned she was raped by her uncle Harry Slater as a child and Kat being only 13, was known as her sister.
- Kat and Zoe’s relationship was turbulent. They both vied for the attentions of Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey). Kat and Anthony were together but broke up and Zoe then seduced him. Kat later learns she was pregnant but then has to have an abortion. She is comforted by her boss Alfie Moon (Shane Ritchie) but then he realises he is in love with her.
- Kat, becomes briefly engaged to Andy Hunter a local crime boss (Michael Briggs) but she jilts him on her wedding day for the true love her life Alfie.
- Kat sparks a romance with Alfie Moon and it is the love story of the square. She finally marries Alfie on Christmas day in the Vic.
- Alfie takes a loan from Andy which he is unable to repay and then Andy threatens to kill Alfie unless Kat sleeps with him.
- One of Kat’s biggest storylines was helping her daughter cover up the murder of Dirty Den Watts. She left the soap in 2005 sailing into the sunset with Alfie for a new life in America.
- Kat returned to the soap in 2010 on the run from a man who she and Alfie conned for money. While Alfie was serving time, she had an affair with Michael Moon who happened to be Alfie’s cousin and she is now pregnant with his child.
- Another Kat storyline focused on the breakdown of her and Alfie’s marriage and her separation from Tommy and their twin sons Bert and Ernie.
- Kat’s union with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) began after months of feuding. She then sleeps with him marries him beginning a war with his ex Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) over the Mitchell empire.
- The latest storyline has focused on her son Tommy who idolised Phil and is trying to get back at Kat for breaking up the marriage. Kat meanwhile is back with the love of her life Alfie who is suffering from cancer.

Two Dancing on Ice stars quit ITV show
Professional skaters Mark Hanretty and Brendyn Hatfield have announced that the 2025 series of Dancing On Ice will be their last.
Hanretty, who is the longest-serving professional skater on the series after making his debut in 2011, said in a post shared online that he is “eager to soak up every second” of his final season.
“Good luck to all the team and here’s to a fantastic series!” he said.
Hatfield, who is in a relationship with S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens after they performed on the show together in 2022, also said online that the 2025 series will be his last.
“Excited to be back for my 6th and final season of Dancing On Ice. Let’s make this one the best one,” he said.
Hanretty has placed third three times with partners including Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt, broadcaster Adele Roberts and Paralympian Libby Clegg.
Meanwhile, Hatfield has also been partnered with Love Island winner and reality star Ekin-Su Culculoglu, comedian Lou Sanders and rapper Lady Leshurr, with whom he secured fourth place in 2021.
Fans of the show have been left disappointed by the announcement of the two much-loved pros leaving the series at the same time.
“Yay, so happy that you’re back for another year but I’m sad that you’ll be leaving along with Mark,” one fan wrote to Hatfield online. “Not your last year too. What’s happening!” said another.
Earlier this month, the full Dancing on Ice celebrity lineup was revealed, with celebrities including TOWIE’s Ferne McCann, Traitors star Mollie Pearce, Eastenders actor Charlie Brooks, Love Island’s Chris Taylor and sports pundit Anton Ferdinand.

Ahead of her debut on the show next year, Brooks, best known for playing the evil Janine Butcher in EastEnders, said she is “going to embrace the spray tan”.
“All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg,” she said.
Pearce, best known for making it to the final in the latest season of the BBC hit game show The Traitors, has said she is “ready for the challenge”.
Pearce works as a disability model for different kinds of adaptive clothing, including swimwear and underwear that accommodates a stoma – such as the one she wears due to ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune condition that causes inflammation in the large intestine triggering ulcers and debilitating pain.
Radio DJ Adele Roberts, who uses a stoma bag and competed on Dancing On Ice last year, sent Pearce a message congratulating her on “the most incredible news” and thanking her for bringing awareness to stoma bags.
Pearce and her fellow contestants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s winners Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas and pro skater Amani Fancy.
While no date has been announced for its 2025 return, the show will be fronted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, who are expected to be returning to their hosting roles.
