Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left confused and creeped out by a “cringe” group dance performed by the show’s professionals for Movie Week.
During the Saturday (5 October) night episode, the stars showcased a series of performances in the theme of classic movies, including Harry Potter and The Little Mermaid.
The opening skit is part of the programme’s traditional format, but this week the dancers painted their faces yellow and dressed up as Minions for a Despicable Me-themed performance.
Fan favourite Kai Widdrington, who was left without a partner this year, appeared as the film’s villain, Gru, donning a bald head and a prosthetic nose.
However, the light-hearted dance fell flat as viewers begged the performers to “just get on with it”.
“This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” wrote one person while another was left speechless, writing: “I can’t caption this. There are literally no words for what I have just seen. Nothing.”
“Just get on with the show please…” begged one viewer, as another seconded: “Just get on with it. The show is long enough as it is without all this ham dram crap.”
Others were left bored and unimpressed, complaining that “that’s two minutes of my life I’ll never get back”.
Some pleaded for the show to get rid of the opening skits altogether: “God please make this awful Strictly pre-titles nonsense stop!!”

But the performances were not without its defenders as one person wrote: “They always have to start movie week with a cringe cheesy VT lol. It’s basically a tradition at this point.”
Another added: “That was enjoyable and to all the adults moaning. Let’s not forget it’s a family show, meaning kids watch too! So shut your pie holes and enjoy it. Now Im gonna let my Footloose!”
One viewer found the people complaining to be the problem: “Anyone hating on that group dance is boring.”

ONE of the Love Island 2024 stars has sparked feud rumours as one Islander wasn’t invited to their girls’ night.
Harriett Blackmore, 24, definitely pulled out all the stops tonight as she hosted an evening for some of her former co-stars at her home.

Newly single Harriett, who was dumped from the villa on day 26, even bought some personalised silk PJs for her guests.
Sharing a snap of them on her Instagram story, it showed that outfits for Samantha Kenny, Uma Jamma and Matilda Drapper.
A number of her co-stars appeared to have not been invited – including Nicole Samuel – who has been down south for the past few days.
The Welsh beauty attended Thorpe Park’s VIP launch for this year’s Fright Nights on Thursday, as well as Tulley’s Shocktober Fest event last night.
Instead, Nicole is enjoying a night out with her man.
Sharing a loved-up video of the pair out together, Nicole confessed: “Back to rugby club nights with my boy.”
Meanwhile Samantha – who was the first to leave the villa – shared a cute picture of her with the host on her story.
The make-up artist was all smiles as she held a glass of fizz in her hand, while the dancer gave a pout to the camera.
Samantha wrote: “Girly pj night.”
Harriett and Nicole’s man Ciaran haven’t seen eye to eye in the past.
At the start of this year’s series, Harriett and Nicole both had their eyes on the Welsh rugby hunk.
However Ciaran decided that he had more of a connection with Nicole and Harriett broke down in tears when he took her to the hide away.
The Welsh couple actually ended up making it all the way to the final and placing second.
That meant that she put all her interest into Ronnie Vint, but he decided to pursue other girls – including Jess White and Tiffany Leighton.
Love Island Series 11 – who’s still together?
The 11th series of popular ITV2 dating show Love Island created plenty of new couples – but not all of them have managed to go the distance.

But after Tiffany decided to cool things off between the pair, he went back to Harriett.
During a game of Never Have I Ever, things got very tense between Harriett and Ciaran.
He called her out for being ‘two-faced’ behind his back.
In front of the islanders, he said: “People will make comments and then straight after be all nice to me and say, for instance ‘ah you need to be careful with him’ but then ‘ah you’re actually really good Ciaran with her, you treat her so well’.”
He added: “Cut the bull**** that’s Harriett.”

As Harriett attempted to embarrass Ciaran, he clapped back, saying: “I haven’t been second choice like three times in here, so.”
Harriett got up and stormed off in tears because of his comments.
Later on the feud boiled over in a sweary rant between Harriett, Nicole and Jess.
Taking her make up off for bed, she shouted: “Why are you embarrassing me like that? I’m actually livid. I can’t believe you just did that.
“Also, where’s Nicole right now? Genuinely, because if that was my boyfriend I would be livid,” she demanded.
“Jess and Nicole can fuck off. They haven’t said one word to me,” Harriett spat.
“Honestly not my friends, see you later,” she continued.
Harriett left the villa on day 26 alongside Ronnie.
The pair split up just weeks after the show.

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left in tears as the show paid tribute to Dame Maggie Smith, who died last week.
The actor, best known for her roles in the series Downton Abbey and the Harry Potter movies, died aged 89 on 27 September.
Her death was announced by her sons Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens who wrote, “An intensely private person, she was with friends and family at the end. She leaves two sons and five loving grandchildren who are devastated by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.”
Tess Daly introduced the performance as part of Movie Week, paying tribute to Smith as she said, “We lost a true icon of cinema” and introduced a “magical tribute” by Miranda star Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola. The performance came shortly after a divisive opening skit.
The comedian danced the Viennese Waltz to the signature music from the Harry Potter movies, “Hedwig’s Theme”. In footage recorded from rehearsals, Coppola called Professor McGonagall, his “favourite professor”.
Hadland donned an emerald green dress and a pointed hat, while Coppola wore an outfit in the style of Hogwarts’ black gowns. The backdrop was appropriately decorated to reflect the insides of the wizarding school.
“I’m not crying, you’re crying,” wrote one fan. “What a wonderful little tribute”.
Another added, “This was absolutely stunning! Huge congratulations to Vito and Sarah, what a lovely thought to dedicate this to Dame Maggie Smith. The effort, passion and precision makes it a 10 from me!”
Judges were also left impressed by the performance as they received one of the highest scores of the night. Judge Motsi Mabuse was particularly moved as she crowned it her favourite performance.
Some felt that the actor, who is known for playing stern characters, would have hated the tribute.
“Maggie Smith would LOATHE being immortalised in a Harry Potter dance on Strictly,” joked one person.

‘Upset and disappointed’ say Emmerdale fans as they hit out at ITV soap’s writers plans for killing off huge character
EMMERDALE fans have raged at the latest news for the soap as they’re set to lose a character who’s been on screens for the past 16 years.
Actress Roxy Shahidi is leaving Emmerdale after nearly two decades of playing her character Leyla Harding, as she’s set to be killed off in the latest soap plot twist.

The shock news was revealed this week, but it’s left fans raging as they hit out at soap writers and blast the move as ‘disappointing’.
One fan wrote on social media: “I had a feeling this was gonna happen we haven’t seen Leyla in emmerdale for a good few months now and she hasn’t had any storylines for ages.
“But I am upset and disappointed that she’s getting killed off.”
Another added: “I don’t agree with them killing her off I don’t see the point. I don’t mind Leyla rather her on my screen than some of the other characters I can’t stand in the show.”

The news comes as a source close to Roxy said: “Roxy has adored her time on the soap and has made so many happy memories since first joining when she was 17.
“The cast have become like family to her and she has grown so much as an actress, but now feels like the perfect time to spread her wings and try something new.
“She is really excited about her meaty exit storyline, which will see her character Leyla die on screen. She’d rather go out in a blaze of glory and be remembered.”
Over the years Roxy’s character Leyla has had some colourful storylines including becoming a pole dancer, being shot and developing a drug habit.
But in real life Roxy is a trained yoga instructor and focuses on wellbeing.
Roxy, who lives in Nottingham with her husband of 14 years, actor Arsher Ali, 40, and their six year old daughter, recently spoke out about her love of the show.
Roxy shared: “I absolutely love being in a soap like Emmerdale, because you’re able to grow your character over the years.
“It’s a process you don’t really get on many other dramas.
“And I’m so lucky to play Leyla, because she’s such a fun character.”

I normally watch movies and TV on my PC but its currently down so I bought the Onn for a temporary substitute and it's pretty solid, i watch FMovies through a browser and it works pretty well. Firesticks are garbage, glad i switched to Android TV

Not a fan of LTT.

Took a bit of thought, but I finally got my phone to screen mirror to my TV using an onn device (dongle google TV with chromecast one for $15.) I've been trying to cut home internet which is how I currently watch my shows on free apps. I found the secret is no internet to wireless router, Phone and device both on same wireless network. 3rd party screen mirror app on phone. And now the trick that made it all work, set show apps to DATA only, not wifi or Data and wifi. My phone always tries to watch show apps with wifi if available, but since wifi has no internet connection that doesn't work. This means I'm not using hotspot phone data (easiest way to cast phone to screen) to watch shows on TV. Now to see how far $30 Mint mobile unlimited (40gb premium before slows down with 10gb hotspot) will let me watch a month.

I'm not sure if it's worth a full video but I would love to see you guys do a video on this topic but specifically directed at Google accounts that use advanced protection.
Only apps from the official Play store can be installed on those accounts so side loading is out of the question.
Unless, you use a burner account to get all your app sideloaded. Add your advanced protection account. Then remove the burner account. All the sideloaded apps should, at least for now, stay.

These devices don't give you FREE access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, ESPN+ or Hulu like people may think. You still have to PAY for those services! You get whatever free live channels that are out there(local TV channels) and a portal to all the others(like Netflix) but it isnt free. You also may need a VPN. It's like a window on a ship, you can SEE the ocean, but you can't swim in it, or fish, until you open the window, and that cost MONEY. These devices are useless, and any Smart TV can do the same.

Just clicked on this video to tell Linus that he is a hypocrite for advocating for piracy or even mentioning it after his whole fiasco/annoying outburst on adblockers. I wont watch it and if I ever do watch LTT ill find a way to skip ads. Old supporting fan who dropped out after LTT was called out far too many times for hypocrisy.

if your using these android boxes to emulate retro games youll absolutely want android versions 7 through 9 everything after nine kinda goes down hill after that and youll quickly find out that a lot of your legally purchased playstore emulators dont have an android tv version

You don't need any of that. If you want to watch "your content" then you don't need anything more than usb drive that contains your content. I have an external SSD that contains my entire library – just plug it in, press play on the desired video file.
And you don't even really need that, you can just cast to your TV from your PC or other device. Not sure why you need to brain-eff it.

I bought the onn 4k PRO it has an ethernet port but only 100Mb, it has google voice assistant (when i cant find the remote i just ask where it is and remote starts beeping) you can also just tell it to play tv show on hulu.

My Xiaomi Mi Box 3 4K from 2016, shipped with Android 6, updated to Android 9, still works fine in 2024 with no compatibility issues. Plex, Stremio, Netflix, HBO, Prime, Disney+, Apple TV+ works flawlessly. Voice control is janky, and the remote is all shiny now, but I see no incentives to upgrade to a better one.

Another argument against using the built-in smart tv is the fact that a lot of them DON'T support 4K playback, they simply stream in HD.

A workaround for the Android 11 version of Android TV, is to install an external file explorer. Not every file explorer works that well, I've found SEFileExplorer did fine. The issue for the storage scoping won't be on a per-app basis, and instead the apps can use the external file explorer's scoped access.

Hi guys, do you have anything to say about btv and htv boxes? They seem to run on android and offer good prices and specs.
Those seem to be the most popular here in Brazil and other South America countries.
We have easy access to most of those chinese brands through aliexpress and similar sites… can you confirm those 2 are clean and true about their specs?

I see a lot of these boxes in my area being advertised on fb marketplace and in apartment lobbies, you basically pay your subscription to a random guy that buys the boxes and unlocks it.
Just keep in mind if you're paying by credit card to these people, you're giving your info to a literal pirate 😉

Thank you so much for all the info and breaking it down. Purchased one of the android boxes you recommended caution against in your last video. Going to change for one of the approved ones you compared just incase. Main use case is live tv such as with MagisTV app. Otherwise streaming movies and shows. 💚
Onn has a higher end edition, I wonder if it runs Android 14 and how it compares to the best streaming boxes out there. Amazon’s cube seems awesome. The Nvidia shield is expensive and needs an update

Back in March of 2024 I got the 4K Onn streaming device at Walmart. It is plugged into an older 720p Vizio tv. Works great. Best $20 I have spent in a long time.

bit late to the party, but as for "Why you would want this," I have a Hisense TV, and my god, the components in it are garbage. It's a smart TV, but there's nothing smart about the hardware, from day 1 there was issues with the speed of the network adapter kicking on, sluggishness on all available apps, and to round it off, a crippling feature of "The TV has had an issue and will now lock up a screech at you, and then you will need to unplug it in order to either turn it off, or turn it on again." If you're unfortunate to have a TV of this crap magnitude, a streaming device is pretty much required. I'll be grabbing the onn. for special reasons c:
