Vanessa Feltz sends warning to Phillip Schofield as he announces TV comeback
Vanessa Feltz addressed Phillip Schofield’s controversial return to TV 16 months after exiting This Morning over his widely reported affair scandal.
On Tuesday (24 September), it was announced that the former ITV host had spent the summer secretly filming a three-part series, titled Cast Away, which sees him spending 10 days trying to survive on an island in the Indian Ocean.
It will mark the presenter’s first return to TV since he admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague he worked with on the ITV programme.
Addressing the affair in the series trailer, Schofield asks the camera: “I know what I did was unwise, but is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?”
Feltz, a colleague and friend of Schofield, warned that there could be a “risk” with his reality TV stint, but she will be supporting him along the way.
“Any reality TV show anyone does is a risk, that’s the whole point, you could come out brilliantly and everyone could fall in love with you and you could impress them to the max,” she told Metro.co.uk.
The presenter wished Schofield “all the luck in the world” and said he should be allowed to do whatever he wants “to make him feel better” in the aftermath of the scandal.
Feltz continued: “Obviously I haven’t seen [Cast Away], so I don’t know how he copes in isolation for all those days, and whether it turns out to be a good thing or a bad thing.”
“But he is a very seasoned TV professional, and I really hope that it’s the right thing for him, and it does him the power of good, that he personally enjoys it and that the viewers enjoy it and that it makes him feel better and it makes everybody feel better. That’s what I would like. I’d like it to be a success.”

Since the news broke, Feltz said she hasn’t been in touch with Schofield because she doesn’t want to “jump on the bandwagon of messaging”.
She explained: “When there’s a story about me in the media, suddenly everybody that I haven’t heard from for ages jumps in and says something, and you know they’re only doing it because they want to tell their friend, ‘I spoke to Vanessa, and she says this, or she says that, or she is feeling well or not feeling well,’ or whatever it is, and I always think, ‘Oh, god come on, be a bit more subtle than that.’”
“So no, I haven’t messaged because what would I message? I mean, obviously he knows I wish him well, we’re good friends.”
Feltz joined This Morning in 1992 and Schofield joined a decade later. Since Schofield’s exit last year, his presenting partner Holly Willoughby left the show, with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard taking over their roles.
At the time of his sensational departure, the married presenter said he had a “consensual on-off relationship” that was “unwise, but not illegal”.
He apologised for the affair, which happened while he was married to his wife of 30 years, Stephanie Lowe.
Speaking about huge changes rocking the morning programme, Feltz said it was “sad” to see colleagues leave.
“I was there on [Schofield’s] very first day on This Morning, and when they showed the footage on his 20 year anniversary there I was sitting on the sofa about a yard away from him on the very first of his day broadcasting.”
“So I’ve been there a very long time and when people that you’ve worked with leave it’s always sad, just like it would be working in any office with long-term work mates that you like. So that was a shame.”

Towie’s Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou reveal they’re having a baby girl after he opened up about losing £4million
TOWIE’S Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou have revealed they’re having a baby girl after he opened up about losing £4million.
The ITVBe personality and fashion brand businessman, 32, is preparing to welcome his second child with wife and co-star Georgia, 33.
And the blonde beauty delighted fans with her latest Instagram post yesterday.
Taking to the platform, Georgia shared four ultrasound scans of their upcoming arrival along with an adorable caption.
She wrote: “Our little girl. The first pictures we have actually been able to get as baby girl is breach with legs & arms infront of her face, her little hand under her chin.
“Thank you so much @pure.scan you are the best.”

Georgia and Tommy left Towie in 2021 and were subsequently given their own reality show, Baby Steps, to document family life.
The pair secretly wed last year after welcoming their son Brody in 2021.
Last year, they were left heartbroken after suffering a tragic miscarriage.
Georgis and Tommy went for their 12 week scan and were told about the rare chromosome disorder, called triploid syndrome, that meant their baby had no chance of survival.
The discovery left Georgia with the agony of having to undergo a termination – had she continued with the pregnancy, her baby would have been miscarried or stillborn.
Speaking about dealing with the news, Georgia previously said: “It’s a very hard thing to take in when someone says your baby isn’t going to survive, but you’re watching that same baby moving around.
“If there had been no heartbeat, it might have been easier to accept. I asked if it was my fault, or if there was anything I could have done differently.
“He said it was incredibly rare and nobody was to blame, but I couldn’t stop torturing myself.”
The couple halted filming their show Baby Steps while she came to terms with her loss, with Georgia later saying: “I was in the darkest place I’d ever been.”
Tommy, who co-owns trainer brand Mallet London, recently revealed his clash with his business partner Evren Ozka, which has now seen the pair lock horns in court.
Continuing his candid chat on Ben Gallagha’s Everybody Wants To Be Us podcast he told how his bank balance had plummeted.
WHAT IS MISCARRAIGE AND WHY DO PREGNANCIES FAIL?
MISCARRIAGE is generally the death of an unborn baby in the first 24 weeks – approximately six months – of pregnancy.
Miscarriages may not be spoken about a lot but they are very common. Baby loss charity Tommy’s estimates there are at least 250,000 per year in the UK and that one in every five pregnancies ends in miscarriage.
It may not be clear why a miscarriage happens but they are rarely caused by anything done by the mother or father. Usually the embryo has a random genetic defect that means it cannot develop properly.
Most women can go on to successfully have healthy babies in the future.
The NHS says most miscarriages cannot be prevented but avoiding smoking, alcohol and drugs while pregnant can reduce the risk.
Some of the other most common reasons for a pregnancy to fail in the first 24 weeks are ectopic pregnancy and molar pregnancy.
Ectopic pregnancy is where a fertilised egg implants somewhere outside of the womb, usually in a fallopian tube. It cannot survive and grow there so either dies naturally or must be terminated.
Molar pregnancy is rarer but happens when a fertilised egg and/or placenta does not develop properly at the start of a pregnancy. There is no single reason why it happens and cannot be prevented, though it may be more common in very young or old mothers.
A baby who dies after 24 weeks is considered a stillbirth.

Tommy said: “I was very cash rich at one point
“I’d always have 4million in the bank but now I’ve probably got £5K in and I’m like f**king hell.
“How am I gonna pay for this?
Mallet London has taken the footwear world by storm over the last nine years.
Tommy built the firm with Evren from scratch in 2015.
They worked from Evren’s premises and the business exploded, making them millions.
However, over the past year, Tommy has spoken cryptically about an ongoing court case centred on Mallet London.
He told how he had offloaded his assets after departing the company in October 2023, but claimed his lips were legally sealed over the details about what had happened.
Tommy did, however, write on social media: “It’s probably not over, but as it stands I can work and support my family.
“I’ve sold all my assets to defend myself and starting from scratch, but I’ve got some wonderful companies and I will give it my all to get it back so my family can continue living the life I worked so hard to give them.”
Tommy Mallet’s Business Journey
Tommy grew his brand and made his fortune from humble beginning that saw him grow up on a council estate in London
While Tommy might be living a life of luxury now; treating himself to a customised Ferrari and flying around the world – it wasn’t always like that for the dad-of-one.
He grew up on a council estate in North London and left school with no GCSEs.
His upbringing is what actually inspired him to create his footwear brand, as he was bullied at school for the clothes he wore.
The businessman said that he was humiliated when he was just 12 because his family couldn’t afford to buy him fashionable trainers.
He trained as a carpenter after school before joining the cast of Towie – which is where he met his fiancée Georgia.
Speaking about his childhood, he told MailOnline: “I feel like at one point in my life I definitely could have had the potential to go down the wrong path but ultimately, I knew that I wanted to do things the right way and to succeed.
“So staying on the right track was important to me.”
His shoe brand is favored by the likes of Drake, Olly Murs, Craig David, and Will.i.am.
He launched Mallet in 2015 and by 2020 the business had clocked up 11.8million sales.
His shoes and apparel is stocked in over 150 stores around the world, and that’s only going to increase.
Tommy, who made the Forbes 30 under 30 list, says he prefers to be known for his work rather than his time on Reality TV.

Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 1: Who is Stephanie Leifer, who premiere was dedicated to?
Grey’s Anatomy has officially returned for its 21st season, and it will see the return of old faces and the loss of a regular.
The latest premiere of the longest-running US medical drama was dedicated to Stephanie Leifer and, while casual fans of the long-running medical drama might not be aware of who she is, the tribute was a moving moment as Leifer was an instrumental figure in the show’s enduring success.
Leifer died of cancer in June, aged 56. She was a programming executive who oversaw Grey’s Anatomy while working at ABC – the US network on which the show airs – as well as ABC Signature, the company that produces it. She worked at ABC for 28 years up until her departure in 2022.
Grey’s Anatomy’s showrunner and executive producer Meg Marinis was asked about the dedication in an interview discussing the episode. Marinis, who started out on Grey’s Anatomy as a PA, worked with Leifer for over 15 years, and she branded her former employee “incredible”.
Speaking to Deadline, Marinis said: “Stephanie Leifer was an incredible person and devoted champion of Grey’s.
“She truly believed in us from the early years all the way through and supported our creative vision.
“I started my career as a PA, delivering Grey’s scripts to her office, and I remember her door always being open. She was so encouraging to writers and attended several Grey’s milestone events. It was a heartbreaking loss for this family.”
In 2019, Grey’s Anatomy changed US television history to become the longest-running prime-time medical drama in the US, overtaking the previous victor, ER.
ER, which starred Anthony Edwards, George Clooney and Julianne Margulies, ran for 15 seasons between 1994 and 2009. The overall record is held by BBC series Casualty, which has aired in the UK since 1986.

Greys’ Anatomy’s former lead star Ellen Pompeo made the shock decision to depart the show in 2021, stating: “I am eternally grateful and humbled by the love and support you have all shown me, Meredith Grey and the show for 19 seasons!”
Pompeo didn’t completely abandon the show, though, as she still returned for a handful of episodes in the show’s 20th season and will continue to do so this season. She was reduced from a series regular to a recurring character.
She also remains an executive producer on the series and continues to narrate the opening and closing voiceovers for each episode.

Shock moment MAFS UK couple rocked by another explosive row as bride WALKS OUT
ROCKY Married At First Sight couple Charlie and Eve have been hit by fresh blow after another explosive row.
In a teaser for Monday night’s show Eve could be seen storming off following their clash just days after Charlie returned to the experiment.
The couple sit at a table to discuss a new challenge which sees them write down questions for each other.
However, it appears Eve refuses to engage with it, leaving Charlie upset.
When Charlie giggles at Eve’s claim she always wants to fight with her, the latter snaps: “Don’t laugh at the way I feel.”
Charlie is then seen sobbing and says: Get out. Just get out.”
Eve says to camera, “I don’t think we’re healthy for each other,” before storming out.
Fuming, Charlie says: “I’m laying my heart out on the line here and I’m getting f**k all back.”
Out in the hallway, Eve can be seen leaning against the wall looking downcast.
The drama comes just days after Charlie walked out on their honeymoon last week following multiple rows.
They seemed like a picture perfect couple on their wedding day, and they even confessed to having sex on their wedding night.
But things turned frosty on their honeymoon when Eve took a step back and wanted to spend time apart.
Every time Charlie asked Eve what was wrong the pair ended up in an argument.
Following their tetchy honeymoon, Charlie refused point blank to enter the couple’s apartments on return to the UK and said she was quitting.
She said: “I’ll be leaving the experiment.
“They’ll be no moving into any apartment, nothing, goodbye.
“I’ll just enjoy my evening alone. Like I have done the whole f**** honeymoon.”
But she soon returned and they vowed to work through their issues.
Eve said: “We really upset each other Charlie, like really upset each other.”
Charlie replied: “I’m a really good person I promise”.
She continued: “I just want to leave it in Mexico, I am sorry for how it ended up. I think maybe we went to quick with things.”
