We hold Paula Merlo in very high regard here at theFashionSpot. After all, since taking up the mantle at Vogue Brazil in 2018, Merlo has championed a whole plethora of homegrown talent. Cover stars throughout 2024 alone included Valentina Sampaio, Raquel Zimmermann, Gisele Bündchen, and Fernanda Torres to name just a few. As we head into 2025, the Brazilian fashion title is celebrating its monumental 50th anniversary. One of Brazil’s most prolific fashion models takes to the cover(s) to celebrate. Give it up for Alessandra Ambrosio who returns as a Vogue Brazil cover star for January 2025. Across a duo of covers, the Brazilian beauty gazes down the lens of Nicole Heiniger. Captured down on the beach, Alessandra is styled by Rita Lazzarotti in looks from Brazil-based designers Caio Vinicius and LED.
Alessandra Ambrosio for Vogue Brazil January 2025:
Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“I like how the combined the masthead with 50,” admired mikel.
“Alessandra Ambrosio on the cover of Vogue Brazil will always be OK with me. Just so happens that on this occasion I happen to approve of the two covers. They’re gorgeous! I love the beach setting, the damp hair, and how the 50 is integrated with the masthead,” voiced vogue28.
“I like that even though it’s a summer edition, there’s something darker on the covers (especially on cover two), said gustavo prado.
Not everyone felt the same way, however. “After all these years, how can Vogue Brazil produce something like this? These are like covers from a bad supplement,” noted Xone.
“What a waste of summer. They should have gone to the beautiful beaches of Northeastern Brazil. This is lazy on another level. I cannot accept this,” matheus_s scolded.
“The covers and the whole spread are working beautifully for me,” defended forum member MModa.
