othing really beats the whimsy and magical grandeur of a garden wedding. Paired with perfect weather, clear skies, and lovebirds against a natural backdrop, garden weddings can be quite the image for your big day. But just because it’s set against nature doesn’t mean it’s easy to pull off. Mastering how to plan a garden wedding with expert tips is a sure way to ensure your dream day turns out as beautiful as you imagines.
The truth is, garden weddings require a lot of work to put together. And figuring out those moving parts is half the wedding stress! In this piece, we’ll explore just how you can plan your perfect garden wedding with ease and finesse.
So what is a Garden Wedding?
Just like the name suggests, a garden wedding is a wedding ceremony that happens in a garden. These weddings are often famous for their whimsical decor, imitating the youthfulness of springtime.
Garden weddings tie in themes of romance, nature, and new beginnings and are one of the most popular wedding themes to date. Because they draw inspiration from nature itself, the decorative element of a garden wedding is almost endless!
Here are 8 things to consider when planning a Garden Wedding…
#1. Dress your bridal party appropriately
It’s critical to remember your bridal party when you plan your garden wedding. The elements and outdoorsy nature shouldn’t make them too uncomfortable to enjoy their bridesmaid duties.
If your garden wedding is during the warmer months, opt for lightweight fabrics like chiffon or linen and backless dress options. For cooler months, consider shawls or stylish jackets that complement the wedding colors. Ditch the stilettos and go for wedges or flats to avoid sinking into the grass.
Colors also play a major role when it comes to dressing your bridal party according to your wedding themes. For instance, if you’re planning a spring garden wedding, lilac bridal party dresses with flowing bouquets can be perfect! Or for those stunning fall weddings against foliage, rose gold gowns for bridesmaids are a top pick.
#2. Consider the season
The season will heavily influence your garden wedding. Seasons are at the forefront of planning a garden wedding. Depending on your regional climate and time of the year, you’ll be able to decide how to decorate, what to wear, and your overall theme.
Here are some things that the season can bring you:
Spring offers blooming flowers and fresh greenery.
Summer delivers long daylight hours but could bring intense heat.
Fall provides stunning foliage, though cooler temperatures might call for extra preparations.
Winters can give you greater availability for venues and vendors, but the weather can be quite harsh.
#3. Define and dress your space to be cozy
Now here’s an issue you might not realize just yet: outdoor spaces can feel too expansive if you don’t properly define them. Create clear boundaries for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception areas to make the event feel intimate. For this, string lights, hanging greenery, or wooden signs directing guests will be your best friends.
Comfortable seating and soft textures, such as blankets or cushions, will also enhance the cozy vibe. If your wedding extends into the evening, incorporate plenty of lighting to keep the space warm and inviting. Think lanterns, fairy lights, or even a fire pit for added charm!
#4. Tell your guests it’s an outdoor wedding
Don’t want disgruntled guests littering your wedding pictures? Tell them it’s a garden wedding on the invite! Mention specifics. Are we walking on gravel? Or is it a grassy ground where the heels will dig right in? Do they need to bring in extra shawls? Or SPF to re-wear now and then?
This way, they can dress appropriately and plan for potential weather conditions, such as bringing an extra layer for chilly evenings or wearing more comfortable shoes for grassy areas.

#5. Rent out nice restrooms
Indoor weddings don’t have to worry too much about the restroom situation. But if you’re going outdoors, you’ll need to pay attention here! If your venue doesn’t have a restroom on site, portable restrooms can be a lifesaver–but don’t settle for basic units. Luxury restroom trailers are an excellent option. In fact, they provide amenities like air conditioning, full sinks, and stylish interiors that match your wedding’s elegance!
#6. Protect yourself from bugs
The grass is greener on the other side (or so it seems for the bugs). If your heart is set on a garden wedding, just accept the fate that your wedding theme is an open-letter invitation to bugs. Bug bites, buzzing mosquitos, or even an occasional bee sting have been known to happen.
But if you don’t want these on your big day, you’ll need to get your venue sprayed with pesticides 3–4 days in advance. You can also decorate your venue strategically by placing citronella candles along the aisle! Or you can even use bee-deterring flowers like marigolds, lavender, and peppermint in your decoration to create a bug-repellant zone.
#7. Use the natural scenery to your advantage
One of the biggest reasons behind garden wedding’s popularity is the nature itself. So why not use it to your benefit? Consider framing your ceremony with a large tree, a lush garden arch, or a natural scenic water feature.
Flowers in bloom or golden hour lighting can eliminate the need for extensive decorations. Work with your florist to accentuate the natural beauty rather than overshadow it. For example, soft floral arrangements or a flower-petal aisle can complement the existing greenery.
#8. Hire seasoned caterers
Outdoor catering requires special expertise. Garden settings don’t always provide the same infrastructure as indoor venues, so hire caterers experienced in outdoor weddings. They’ll know how to manage food safety in warm weather and adapt to limited prep areas.
Ask them about their arrangements for refrigeration, cutlery management, and food service too, ensuring they align with your vision. Make sure your caterers always have an indoor space— even if it has to be a tent— so that the catering prep and food service aren’t littering your ambiance during the event.
Conclusion
Planning a garden wedding is no small feat. But with the right preparation, it can make up for one of the most magical days of your life. Consider the season, lean into the natural settings, and communicate your vision to the wedding stylist, bridal party, and guests alike to bring your Pinterest board to life!

16 winter travel essentials
In this post, we’ll be sharing a comprehensive guide of the BEST winter travel packing essentials and tips for your next cold-weather trip. These carefully selected items will not only keep you warm but also help you elevate your travel style. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or heading on your first winter vacation, these tips and shopping finds will ensure you’re fully prepared for any winter adventure.
How to Prepare for Winter Travel
Before we dive into the must-have winter travel essentials, let’s discuss how to prepare for your trip first. Packing for a winter vacation is a little different from other seasons, but with the right approach, you can enjoy your trip without being weighed down by bulky luggage.
Check the Weather Forecast
The last thing you want is to pack the wrong winter gear for your destination, so before you even start packing, check the weather forecast and plan accordingly. If snow is expected, make sure you have comfortable, waterproof snow boots, warm base layers, and a weather-proof warm puffer coat. If you’re heading somewhere milder that doesn’t get snow, your coat or even a jacket and base layers will work.
Consider Your Itinerary
Next, you’ll want to make sure you’re properly prepared for your activities. Will you be skiing or snowboarding? Planning to snowshoe or do lots of sightseeing? Staying inside, visiting the spa, or prioritizing fine dining at new restaurants? Knowing your itinerary will help simplify clothing choices and should be one of the first factors to consider while planning out your packing list.

Create a Packing List
Now with the weather and your itinerary in mind, it’s time to make your list! The key to packing light for winter is creating a strategic packing list. Start with your must-haves, like winter clothes and accessories, then build from there. Pick a color story for your outfits and create a simple, curated capsule wardrobe for your trip. It’s really all about layering here—create a system that allows for maximum versatility so you easily mix and match everything.
Pack Smart with Packing Cubes
For your winter trip, packing cubes are a game-changer, especially compression packing cubes. They help organize your clothes, keep your packing light, and maximize space in your suitcase. We recommend packing them by item type…pants in one, tops in another, etc. – and utilize various sizes of cubes to maximize the space in your bag.
Winning Carry-on Suitcase
Your main suitcase is also an important consideration. If you want to travel light with a strategically packed suitcase, we definitely recommend a carry on. Packing in just a carry on also means less time in the airport and no chance of lost luggage. One of Erin’s favorite carry-on’s – This suitcase by Beis. She says it’s very similar to her Tumi suitcase but for a fraction of the price. Whether you are driving or flying, this suitcase and a mini weekender tote bag will be all that you need.
What to Pack for Winter Travel
Now that we’ve covered how to prepare for your winter trip, let’s talk about the specific items you’ll want to pack inside of your suitcase and mini weekender tote. Below are the Top 16 winter travel essentials you need to help you stay warm, comfortable, and stylish no matter where your travels take you.
#1 | Chic & Comfy Travel Day Outfit
Let’s kick things off with your travel day outfit. Layers are key—you’ll want pieces you can easily add or remove if you get warm or cold on the plane, train, or in the car. Plan to wear your outerwear on travel day since it’s your bulkiest piece—this simple trick will save so much room in your suitcase. Erin’s go-to travel set is the Spanx AirEssentials black loungewear set pictured above. It’s lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and effortlessly chic. Plus, you can wear the pieces together or mix and match them with other items in your suitcase.
If you’re shopping any of the SPANX AirEssentials pieces shared above , make sure to use code ERINXSPANX for 20% off + free shipping!
#2 | Base Layer – Top and Bottoms
A solid base layer is essential for any winter trip, especially if you’re braving the cold. Merino wool is a top choice for warmth, moisture-wicking, and breathability (make sure it’s the soft version and not scratchy). Your base layer is ideal for layering under your clothes and will keep you dry and extra warm during outdoor activities. Cashmere (pictured above) is another amazing option—it can be three times warmer than wool! Erin loves both fabrics for skiing and winter travel, but prefers cashmere for its added warmth, and luxurious texture and softness. We’ve linked our favorites below!
Make sure to choose a top that you’re comfortable wearing on its own in case you need to remove your extra layers throughout the day!

#3 | Layering Pieces – Sweaters and Jackets
Layering is key in the winter, and having a few sweaters and a couple of jackets will allow you to adjust your outfit depending on the temperature. When choosing your sweaters, make sure they are warm and light enough to layer under your jackets and blazers. You can also wear them on their own if the temps are a little warmer. We love to pack a sporty and chic cashmere hoodie.
A cozy jacket and a tailored, flattering blazer are great, versatile pieces to pack as well. Simply choose the type of jacket that feels aligned with your style and planned activities. We recommend one lightweight blazer, and a more elegant wrap or duster coat. If it’s going to be really cold, a packable puffer is another must-have on your trip.
#4 | Fleece Lined Leggings
When temperatures drop, fleece lined leggings are an absolute lifesaver. These (or your base layer bottoms) can be worn under your jeans to provide extra warmth on the coldest of days. This layering works best with wide-leg jeans, like these best-selling jeans – one of Erin’s all-time favorites! These leggings are lightweight, comfy, and can even be worn on their own for a sporty look on milder days.
PRO TIP: You can pack either a base layer or fleece-lined leggings. You shouldn’t need both.
#5 | Cashmere or Merino Wool Socks
Cashmere and merino wool socks are a game-changer in cold weather. These cozy socks are perfect to keep your toes warm and dry during long walks or outdoor activities. Both fabrics also naturally repel moisture, so you don’t have to worry about wet, cold feet ruining your trip.
#6 | Winter Boots and Shoes
A pair of high-quality winter boots is a non-negotiable essential. Whether you’re walking through the snow or navigating slushy city streets, your feet need protection. Ever had a day ruined from cold, wet feet?? That is NOT what you want on your trip! Water-resistant boots with thick insulation and a sturdy sole will keep your feet warm and dry all day long. You’ll want at least 1-2 other pairs of shoes on your trip, so we recommend a dressier boot as well as a stylish sneaker. Wear your bulkiest shoe on travel day to allow for more space in your suitcase!
#7 | Cashmere Lined Gloves
A warm, cozy pair of gloves or mittens is a must-have for any cold-weather destination. Look for gloves made from leather, merino wool or cashmere with tech-friendly features that allows you to use your phone. You’ll want something that keeps your hands warm but is still functional for making phone calls and documenting your memories! We’ve linked a few of our favorites below.
#8 | Winter Scarf
A winter scarf is the perfect accessory to complement your cold-weather wardrobe. Choose one made from wool or cashmere for the ultimate warmth and comfort. A scarf is not only stylish but practical—it’s perfect for wrapping around your neck and face when the wind picks up. You can also wrap it around your shoulders at dinner or on the plane. This first one that Erin is wearing above is a cashmere and silk blend, lighter weight and comes in a ton of colors. The second option is 100% Mongolian Cashmere for ultimate warmth and luxury. Both can double as a wrap or even a blanket on travel day as well. We’ll link them below…
#9 | Hats and Beanies
Keep your head warm with a stylish beanie or hat. By the way, remember how your mom used to tell you that you lose all the heat from your head, we looked it up and that’s actually not true. 😉 That said; wearing a hat can keep you extra warm! Choose a cozy wool or cashmere cap with a lined interior for extra insulation. A knit beanie offers a minimalist vibe, while a cozy cashmere baseball cap brings a sporty twist to your look. This baseball cap actually has a soft lining that we’ve never seen before – it’s awesome!
#10 | Winter Coat
A high-quality winter coat is essential for staying warm during cold-weather trips. Erin’s wearing a puffer by Herno above. This one of her all time favorite brands, perfect for life in the snowy, mountain town of Telluride, CO. Herno, an Italian brand, makes wonderful, lightweight puffer coats that can be worn on their own or under another coat for maximum warmth! They also pack really well and won’t take up a ton of room in your suitcase.

#11 | Outer Layer – Waterproof Trench
IF it looks like rain on your trip, swap your wool/cashmere coat for a waterproof trench coat. It’s an elegant way to stay dry during those rainy, winter days. The trench coat is light enough to layer over sweaters and can easily be dressed up or down, making it perfect for both sightseeing and casual dinners out. Erin picked this one up at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and loves the leather piping detailing and water resistant features. It has limited stock, so we will link some similar options for you as well. We highly recommend packing an umbrella too. You’ll be SO glad you have it if you have to walk in the rain!
PRO TIP: Wear your packable puffer under your trench for added warmth.
#12 | Winter Sports Gear – Ski Suit
If you’re planning on hitting the slopes, you’ll need to pack your winter sports gear, including a durable, insulated ski jacket and water-resistant ski pants, as well as ski goggles, a helmet and gloves/mittens. Look for gear that’s both stylish and functional like the ski jumpsuit Erin is wearing above by Goldbergh. If it’s going to be below 20 degrees though, opt for separates to ensure you are warm enough for a day on the slopes. If you plan on taking your own skis – your packing list will be a bit different and won’t quite fit into a carry-on only 😉. You can always rent all the ski gear including a helmet once you arrive at your destination. Find more stylish, functional ski gear that Erin loves here.
#13 | Chic Polarized Sunglasses
Sunglasses may not be the first thing you think of when planning out your winter travel packing list… but they really are a must-have! Protecting your eyes is always important, but especially in the winter months. If there’s snow around you, things are inherently brighter… everywhere. A cool, chic pair of polarized shades will keep you protected and ready to take in all of the sights around you!
#14 | Skin Care Essentials for Cold Weather
Next on our list of winter travel essentials, is great skincare to keep your skin hydrated. Dry winter air can be tough on your skin, so be sure to pack moisturizing essentials like lip balm, hand cream, and a rich facial moisturizer. In winter months, Erin LOVES using a little extra of her go-to No. 9 face oil by Colleen Rothschild. It is so important to keep your skin hydrated and glowing, even in the coldest climates. Make sure to check out this post on even more tips for keeping your skin hydrated on a plane.
#15 | Chic Crossbody Bag
Next, a small, chic crossbody bag is a must-have for any trip, and this cold-weather trip is no exception. Above are two that Erin loves to travel with – and we know you will love them too! The super lightweight brown toned leather bag is the perfect size, comes in multiple color options, is sturdy, AND affordable. This black leather handbag by Loeffler Randall also has a gorgeous woven design, will fit all your essentials and will match everything you pack. Both colors are very neutral and versatile. If you are flying to your destination, slip this bag into your personal item bag or your carry-on so you meet the 2 bag limit for carry-on bags.
#16 | Luxurious Pajamas
Cozy, luxurious pajamas like the ones Erin is wearing above will give you an extra layer of comfort on your winter travels. Erin’s been wearing and loving these ultra-soft PJ’s by Eberjey for years. They come in so many colors, you’ll want to order multiples once you experience how soft and comfy they are. Warm, comfy slippers are a nice-to-have on your trip as well. Not essential, but a small but impactful luxury that will keep your feet toasty. Grab your silk sleep mask too, to help you really sleep well on your trip.
Packing for a winter trip doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right winter travel essentials, you can stay warm, stylish, and comfortable—without overpacking. Yes, even in a carry-on! Focus on versatile pieces like base layers, cozy boots, and chic accessories to keep things effortless and functional. Stick to a cohesive color palette, ensuring everything mixes and matches, and you’ll have a wardrobe that works effortlessly. Travel light, stay warm, and enjoy every moment of your winter adventure!

On January 23, FKA Twigs attended the Rick Owens Menswear Fall 2025 fashion show for Paris Fashion Week in a sci-fi-inspired ensemble. The fit was futuristic and super edgy, perfectly in line with some of the looks the singer has sported as of late. The entire outfit looked straight out of a dystopian movie, which was complete with fake tattoos all over her face and neck.
FKA Twigs brought some sci-fi drama to Rick Owens’ Fall 2025 fashion show
IMAGE | CLAUDIO LAVENIA/GETTY IMAGES
FKA Twigs was the drama herself at the Rick Owens Menswear Fall 2025 show for Paris Fashion Week on Thursday. While the singer rocks quirky outfits almost always, her latest look was easily one of her best. For the show, she wore a slinky burnt orange minidress that tightly hugged her curves. The silhouette featured beautiful pleats across the chest that added texture to the otherwise plain dress.
She layered a shearling jacket on top to help beat the Paris chill. The brown piece complemented her orange dress beautifully, with the jacket’s asymmetrical hemline being one of its selling points. However, the most intriguing element of the sci-fi-inspired look was her footwear of choice. She donned a pair of very quirky sculptural knee-high boots. While they helped keep her cozy, the design added some flair to the overall look, making it all the more futuristic.
FKA Twigs completed her Paris Fashion Week look with a pair of rectangular sunglasses and a silver pendant necklace. She kept her makeup to a minimum to let her hair and fake tattoos do the talking. The singer styled her half-shaven hair into an elaborate bouffant. It extended onto her face as well, which created an almost alien-like hairdo. She also decorated her face, neck, and the shaven parts of her head with fake ink that took inspiration from tribal tattoos.
The most important thing about choosing what to wear under a graduation gown is about feeling confident. Graduation ceremonies are a whirlwind of walking, celebrating, and capturing memories, and your outfit plays a key role in helping you enjoy every moment.
Whether it’s a sleek dress, tailored pants, or a comfortable yet chic top, what you wear should reflect your style while keeping you at ease throughout the day.
What to Wear Under a Graduation Gown

The perfect graduation outfits strike a balance between formality and self-expression. From the fit of your clothes to the practicality of your shoes, every choice helps you navigate the day with style and ease.
Choosing the Right Outfit
Photo: Hawk i i / Pexels
Picking an outfit for a graduation ceremony involves finding something that feels great to wear for an extended period and reflects your personal style. Since these events are typically formal or semi-formal, polished and neat attire is ideal.
Well-fitted graduation dresses, tailored pants, or a chic top are all great options. Consider the event setting whether it’s indoors, outdoors, or during warm or cool weather.
Lightweight materials are perfect for hot days while layering with a fitted cardigan or jacket ensures comfort in cooler temperatures. Aim for a flattering fit that won’t create bulk under the gown while keeping you comfortable and photo-ready throughout the celebration.
Dresses
Photo: AW Bridal
Dresses are a popular and practical choice for wearing under a graduation gown. They offer a sleek silhouette and are easy to style for a formal occasion whether at high school or college.
A midi dress is a versatile option that pairs well with most gowns, as its length ensures it doesn’t peek out at the hem. Midi styles also transition easily from the ceremony to post-graduation celebrations.

A white dressis a timeless option, especially for more traditional graduations. Its clean and classic appearance is perfect for creating a polished look. If you prefer something more understated, a black dress works well for both morning and evening ceremonies.
When choosing a dress, consider the neckline. For a modern twist, consider a collared dress. This style blends structure and chic, giving you a neat appearance under the gown.
Collared designs are especially great for creating a professional vibe, making them suitable for photographs and post-ceremony events. A scoop neck also works well because it doesn’t interfere with the graduation gown’s design.
Shirts & Tops

For those who prefer not to wear dresses, shirts, and tops provide excellent options to pair with skirts or pants under a graduation gown. A well-fitted shirtis a classic choice, as it creates a chic look without adding unnecessary bulk.
Lightweight fabrics like cotton or silk are ideal, especially for long ceremonies, as they won’t cause excess sweating. Button-down shirts can offer a structured and refined appearance, while blouses with subtle details, like a small ruffle or tie-neck, offer some personality.

When selecting a skirt, prioritize options that won’t extend beyond the gown’s hemline. Pencil skirts are a sleek choice, offering a tailored look that pairs well with fitted tops or blouses. For a more relaxed yet polished vibe, consider A-line skirts, which give an hourglass look.
Choose a color that complements your top. For example, a pastel floral print blouse looks great with a solid color like pink or lilac. Pair the skirt with a tucked-in blouse or a neatly tailored shirt to create a balanced outfit.

Ensure your skirt sits comfortably at the waist and doesn’t bunch under the gown for the big day.
Pants

Pants are a stylish choice, especially for those who prefer a tailored look. Opt for high-waisted trousers that create a smooth silhouette under the gown. Slim-fit or straight-leg styles are ideal as they prevent excess fabric from bunching.
For a formal look, stick to neutral shades like black, navy, or charcoal. These colors blend seamlessly with most gown styles and add a professional touch. If you want to stand out, play with color and print.
Cropped pants or ankle-length trousers pair beautifully with classic heels or flats, making them versatile for any ceremony.
Shoes

Selecting the right shoes for graduation is crucial, as you’ll be on your feet for much of the day. From walking across the stage to mingling with friends and family, comfort and style should go hand in hand. Dress shoes are a natural choice, offering a polished appearance that aligns with the event’s tone.
For those who prefer heels, consider low or block heels, which provide better support and balance than stilettos. This is especially important if the ceremony involves navigating stairs or outdoor surfaces. Flats are another excellent option and are currently on-trend. Look for styles like ballet flats or loafers.

If you’re looking for a bit of glamour, ankle-strap heels or embellished flats can elevate your ensemble without overpowering it. Regardless of your choice, ensure the shoes are broken in before the big day to avoid discomfort or blisters.
Accessories

Accessories can upgrade your graduation look. Small, elegant jewelry, such as stud earrings, a delicate bracelet, or a simple necklace are good classic choices. If you want to wear flashy pieces, wear one statement piece and balance it with more minimal styles.
A functional yet stylish option for carrying essentials is a compact clutch or a small crossbody bag. If your gown has a specific color, consider accessories that match or enhance it subtly.
Hair & Makeup

When planning your hair and makeup for graduation, consider the practicality of the cap. For hairstyles, choose options like low buns, sleek ponytails, or loose waves that fit easily under the cap.
Avoid high styles or heavy accessories that may interfere with its fit. Small pins or barrettes can help secure your hairstyle while adding a hint of sparkle.
Keep your makeup long-lasting. Opt for a foundation with good staying power and add a touch of blush for a fresh look. Waterproof mascara and neutral eyeshadow are ideal for photos. Keep your lip color neutral or add a bold pop of red to stand out.
On January 23, Reese Witherspoon rocked smart casual at the special screening of her movie “You’re Cordially Invited.” She added an alluring twist to business dressing by opting for a top with a plunging neckline and a skirt with a slit up the side. Moreover, her all-black look contrasted the London event’s white carpet, with the actor looking dapper in the monochrome skirt suit.

Reese Witherspoon recently made smart casuals work for a red carpet appearance, looking stunning at the London premiere of her movie “You’re Cordially Invited.” She wore a dapper skirt suit for the event, going for a classic all-black look. It is hard to go wrong with a monochromatic fit, and the star proved just that with her choice of ensemble for the event.
However, to keep it interesting, Witherspoon added a sultry twist to her fit. She opted for a plunging bustier top, pairing it with a matching pencil skirt with a bold thigh-high split. The actor also layered a blazer on top, which lent the look a touch of business chic. The all-black look would be incomplete without matching footwear. Thus, she went with a pair of pointed-toe heels in black for the London event.
Reese Witherspoon also added a few jewelry pieces to her look, keeping the bling quite minimal. Diamond always works with black ensembles. So, the star added a pair of dangly diamond earrings and a couple of rings. The actor kept her beauty choices nice and sleek for the event. She had her hair brushed back after parting it down the side. In addition, Witherspoon styled her blonde locks completely straight, adding to the business dressing aspect of the look. For makeup, she went with nude lips and smokey eyes. Her eye makeup helped add some depth to the overall look.

The colorway
This latest iteration of the iconic Dunk Low silhouette features a refreshing aesthetic, blending bright, sunny tones that are perfect for the summer season—and beyond. The result is a sneaker that feels both cohesive and eye-catching, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.

From Court to Culture: The Dunk’s Enduring Legacy
Photo: @oliverbarton/Instagram
Born in 1985 as a basketball shoe, the Dunk was initially designed to connect with college athletes. Its bold colorways, inspired by team uniforms—such as the Syracuse Orange, Kentucky Wildcats, and Michigan Wolverines—quickly caught the attention of an unexpected audience: skateboarders. Thanks to its sturdy construction and flat sole, the Dunk provided the perfect platform for tricks and flips, making it an instant favorite among skaters. Legends like Eric Koston and Stevie Williams famously laced up the Dunk, their gravity-defying stunts mirrored by the sneaker’s ability to withstand the rigors of the streets.
Fast forward to the Y2K era, and the Dunk underwent a remarkable transformation, becoming a blank canvas for collaborations that blurred the lines between sport, art, and fashion. From the iconic SB Dunks designed by artists like Futura and Marc Jacobs to highly sought-after partnerships with streetwear titans like Supreme and Stüssy, the Dunk evolved into more than just a sneaker—it became a collector’s item and a symbol of exclusivity and cultural currency. With each release, the Dunk solidified its place as a timeless icon, bridging the gap between athletic performance and streetwear culture.

Today, the Dunk Low reigns supreme as a cultural chameleon, effortlessly adapting to diverse settings and styles. It seamlessly transitions from the bustling streets of Tokyo to the high-fashion runways of Milan, proving its universal appeal. Equally at home on the feet of a seasoned collector as it is on a Gen Z trendsetter, the Dunk Low has become a symbol of versatility and timeless style. In a world where fashion and function often collide, the Dunk Low, including its ‘Sundial’ rendition, stands out as a true icon, bridging generations and geographies with ease.
