i learned this with regards to pants and shorts very early on! i like how long my legs look when i wear my shorts up on my waist. it also makes my body look more continuous since i've got a big belly and wearing shorts or pants at my hips would make it stand out way more

At least a couple of times a day, i hear the words "This is your new waist" in Ashley's voice in the back of my head. And those five words have probably done more for me than any other advice I've managed to find in the past couple of years.
I may never look as "obviously XX" as you do, but for the moment "maybe not obviously XY" will go a long way for me. 🙂
