Coffee Break: Flower Bag – Corporette.com

This Farm Rio bag isn’t for everyone, but I think it makes a great statement, and would be a great way to “elevate” a versatile work outfit for desk to dinner (or charity event, or whatever).
(I’m thinking of a simple black dress, but a sleek top + flowy trousers in a matching color would also be great!)
Farm Rio has this bag in a thousand configurations — different colors! some are leather (like the pictured one), and others are made of clear plastic like jelly sandals. Some of the leathers have studs and actual flowers poking out.
Farm Rio is offering 25% off sitewide at the moment, so the pictured bag would come from $368 to $276. Nice! (You can also find the bags at retailers like Anthropologie and Nordstrom!)

Bag Spotlight: Pouches – Julia Berolzheimer
When I think of pouch bags, it feels nostalgic, playful, effortless, easy to throw everything in, grab, and go. The ones I love most always have a little something extra. Tassels, cords, a hint of beading, a bright silk that feels almost too pretty to be practical, but somehow is.
They move easily between day and night without needing to be swapped out. The same bag works just as well earlier on as it does later. They’re also one of the easiest styles to travel with. They fold flat, take up almost no space, and slip easily into a larger tote or suitcase, something you can pull out later without thinking twice.
It’s that balance of ease and versatility, with just enough detail, that gives them staying power.

Thursday’s Workwear Report: 100% Organic Cotton Cropped Cardigan
This post may contain affiliate links and Corporette® may earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
Our daily workwear reports suggest one piece of work-appropriate attire in a range of prices.
Somehow, I missed the memo that Quince is now offering plus sizes in several styles, which is very exciting news! I just grabbed this slightly cropped cardigan to wear over summer dresses this year. The fit is a little boxier than I would normally gravitate toward, but I like the way it looks with a flowier skirt.
Quince has been a mixed bag for me in the past, but I’m really happy with the quality of this.
The sweater is $60 at Quince and comes in sizes 1X-3X in six different colors. It’s also available in sizes XS-XL.

Suit of the Week: Anine Bing
This post may contain affiliate links and Corporette® may earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.
For busy working women, the suit is often the easiest outfit to throw on in the morning. In general, this feature is not about interview suits for women, which should be as classic and basic as you get — instead, this feature is about the slightly different suit that is fashionable, yet professional. Also: we just updated our big roundup for the best women’s suits of 2026!
This sage green suit from Anine Bing was a standout when I was updating our big suit roundup last week — I feel like it’s still got that cool girl vibe you expect from Anine Bing, but actually looks polished enough to wear to a conservative office.
(It doesn’t hurt that it’s one of the loveliest shades of sage green! I myself would call it more of a eucalyptus green, but hey.)
The suit has a number of matching pieces, including trousers, a vest, a longish short, and the trouser; prices range from $295 to $625.

Cool Jeans – Julia Berolzheimer
Isabel Marant Blouse (old, similar here and here), Rosie Assoulin Top (old, similar here and here), Isabel Marant Jeans (more sizes here), JB x Margaux Heels, Chanel Bag, Silvia Furmanovich Necklace (similar, less expensive here)
There will always be a place for jeans. They are essential to the wardrobe and never really fall out of step. What feels more interesting now, though, is making room for the cool jean, the pair that brings something sharper to the mix.
Denim has moved beyond the standard wash into a category with much more range. The strongest styles come with texture, color, cutwork, embroidery, or a silhouette with a more fashion-led feel.
Decorative Texture
Texture is one of the clearest directions. Cutouts, embroidery, patchwork, and printed finishes bring dimension and give denim a more distinctive point of view.
White styles with openwork detail feel especially right for summer, while deeper tones with stitched motifs or ornate patterning add richness. These are the pairs that hold their own, allowing everything else to stay crisp and refined.
Structured Boho
There is also a bohemian element coming through, but in a more tailored way. Cutwork, embroidery, and softer fabric treatments bring that ease, while higher rises and cleaner lines give it a sharper finish.
That balance is what makes it feel current. Detail and decoration are grounded by shape and structure, giving the look a more polished kind of impact. Styled with a beautiful blouse, a clean sandal, or a sculptural accessory, it feels expressive and pulled together.
Statement Jeans
Then there are the pairs that carry the look immediately. Floral prints, embellishment, crochet paneling, feather trim, and saturated washes all fall into this category.
These are the styles that set the tone from the start. They bring color, surface, and personality in a way that makes denim feel more directional and much more fun to wear.
Fringed Crop Jeans
These cropped printed jeans boast a vibrant pattern and lively finish that adds charm, energy, and character instantly, perfect for transitional weather.
