Just as a comment, re the paddock halters, I like the 'break-away' on the halters but the nose piece drives me nuts, why can't they be in the 'old' style rather than the wiggly lead rope ring and non adjustable nose piece. The moveable lead rope ring is not good for any type of training and lets the young ones away with all sorts of behaviours that require immediate correction, thus necessitating a different halter.
I also have a new horse who is completely different to my absolute #1, my new one is a ottsb and it is so exciting having to learn a new riding style with a new personality so I am enjoying your journey into this as well.

Love Alex. He's sooooo good and calm. Can I hear your heart beat through microphone? Maybe it's Alex's, it was a slow calm beat. Love the white boots too.

You are going to have an amazing future with Enzo and love how you say you wouldnā€™t get behind his ears if it wasnā€™t for Banksy. You rode really well, keep up the hard work but most importantly just enjoy everything you do šŸ’™šŸ’–šŸ’™šŸ’–

Having an expert trainer on the ground gives an overall picture of whether the rider needs to adjust the way they are riding their horse or for the horse to gain more knowledge of what is required of them from the rider, many horses gain bad habits because their rider does not know where to/ how to help their horse understand what exactly is required from them. This was such a wonderful learning curve for both you and Enzio with Alex being able to pinpoint where you need to be with a young horse that you and Enzio will just keep going upwards and onwards in your journey, also what a great workout for all. Canā€™t wait to see your next vlog and what you will be doing with your boysā¤ļø

You really can be happy with a jump like that. Wot we call scope. At the moment he's just a baby and isn't strong, not really strong enough to even carry himself in self carriage for longer than 15 minutes under saddle. When you first got him into the arena he was magnificently full of self-carriage, driving like a Porsche while looking like a Prince, what a silhouette, just wow! You want that without the tenseness, instead softly on the bit and accepting the leg. Look at these moments like him showing you his potential. Im a big man but in fact he's just a BB boy. It will come as he builds a topline and grows, muscling up developing athleticism and elasticity to carry himself correctly for longer and longer at a time safely and happily. That elasticity and power which will also carry him not only up but over the jumps is not developed jumping at thisstage but rather in the flat work, shortening and extending, lots of poles on the ground etc and transitions, outrides little asks which all lead to eventually a happy horse when the bigger asks come later in life. It's then that you can build on that foundation with opening his body over jumps, wider oxers and combinations and distances even without being tricky. First he needs to grow. Takes time lots of time and patience to develop balance self carriage strength. I wouldn't jump him more than twice a week, if that right now, rather than "at least twice a week". He's just not strong enough. You don't want to make it a chore or you will lose the jump and soundness accidents will creep in. Braggie knows his stuff, it was lovely watching this thank you. You should be thinking dressage schooling and gymnastics for a young horse now rather than anything else, forwardness straightness. Young horses are a delight and when you get a gem you want the building blocks to be solid. Love a good waffle lol. Get him to reach into your hand, look for it over a soft back, that will stop the head flicking. Its like he doesn't have a hand to safely hold onto yet. He wont learn to carry his weight on the back end the machine end of things until much later.

What a beautiful boy, Enzo is and with so much scope. And he really covers the ground fast with each big stride. You are really developing your partnership with him. Great that you are getting such great support right off the bat, which helps to quiet your concerns and confirms you are on the right track with him. You are an excellent rider and braver than you think. I think Enzo is bit of a challenge for you but in exactly the right way you have built yourself up for with so many years riding the lovely and spirited Banksy.

You're doing so well adapting your riding Tina, especially as you only began riding other horses again just over a year ago. Please, though, stop correcting the head toss with "ah ah" because you're suppressing a symptom. Alex explains brilliantly why it happens and how to help Enzo not need to do it. šŸ«‚

You're so conditioned to holding on to Banksy because he's strong and keen, it's difficult to soften your hands without moving them forward. When you rode away in walk just after 50 mins you weren't thinking of riding the contact and your hands with light and soft on the reins. As a result of that Enzo produced a free flowing walk and halted far less abruptly at 51:30 mins. That's the contact feeling to aim for in your hands when riding Enzo through his back and into the bridle. Focus on soft hands that follow his natural head movement and allow him to go forward. Every time you get on him visualise how relaxed your hands feel when walking him off at the end of a session. Hope this helps. ā¤

  29. @Pashtashe

    November 7, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Thank you for sharing your journey with us, you are doing so well with asking the right people for feedback. Don't feel obliged to do anything with this, but I was interested in his abrupt downward transition. I looks like you start with rein, then deepen your seat and when he almost does the transition it looks like you breathe out (which might cue him to slow down even more). It is the natural order for when we are a bit tense. However, the transition might be a bit more comfortable if you can deepen your seat, let out a good breath of air and then (if still necessary) use the rein. I really really don't want to be a keyboard warrior, just a fellow rider of young sensitive horses with a love for dressage foundations spouting a brainfart.

I think you are incredibly brave, Tina. You always keep honesty and integrity with how you share your journey. It was the right call to seek guidance for training a youngster. Alex is an awesome trainer & so supportive. Please try not to doubt your abilities. I get how you want to maintain & move forward Enzo's training. However, in arranging this training for you both, you are doing exactly that. You rode him so well – only 3 weeks in, Tina, WOWšŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰. Enzo is a fantastic horse, but he is bleesed to have found the very best 'Mum'. Much love to you, your 4-legged family & friends. ā¤

  35. @ithulah

    November 7, 2024 at 4:52 pm

I find it so interesting how when one's riding advances, the seat becomes more and more important. Reins especially are more about steady hand holding rather than as an aid. And Enzo is so sensitive to these little seat changes, he has so much potential. šŸ˜

  36. @spotteddreams7935

    November 7, 2024 at 4:52 pm

Super job! Can really see that you and Enzo are starting to gel more as youā€™re getting used to riding him. Also, good job on the mounting! Looks like thats progressing well too!

  37. @annejarvis7002

    November 7, 2024 at 4:52 pm

I hope you dont mind an additional comment, Tina. It comes from a positive place. I have noticed Enzo tends not to respect your personal space, which is concerning, he's a very big boy. I watch "Steve Young horsemanship" videos, where Steve addresses 'unrequested forward motion'. You may find his most recent video helpful. Other videos give advice for getting on a horse safely, training them to sidle up and stay at the mounting block or wherever you get on. Enzo has such a gentle nature, but he won't know his own strength. Again, I hope you dont mind this comment. Happy trailsā¤

Female truck driver's daily routine

Welcome to todayā€™s truck driver vlog! šŸ In this vlog, you’ll see some truck loading with lumber, truck maintenance, and truck camping. šŸš›
Today, Iā€™ll show you my daily loading routine and introduce you to a very talented forklift operator who loaded my truck with lumber in Romania. After the truck was loaded, I hit the road toward Hungary and got stuck in a big traffic jam due to roadworks. I successfully unloaded my cargo and hurried to load up with paper rolls, which I transported to Slovenia.
The next day, I woke up early after my 9 hour break, and luckily, there was only one truck ahead of me in the queue. While waiting, I made myself a hot coffee because I was still sleepy, but I accidentally spilled it! šŸ˜‚ The loading process for Romania was anything but easy. I was sent to three different locations before finally reaching the right loading spot, where I loaded up with solar panels.
On my way home, I had to replace a light bulb again! šŸ˜‚ It feels like every week I need to change one. Hope you enjoy this vlog! šŸŒž
