   I've read all kinds of comments, that "she remembered how it is for women everyday". I really don't get this need to make the feeling of being under potential danger everyday or in most situations exclusive to women. You can say that about potential sexual harassment/attacks, but being potentially physically threatened or attacked is not exclusive to women at all.

   If the situation truly was as he described "this is what women have to think about everyday", then you would see women being proportionally overwhelmingly in martial arts gyms training self defense or learning how to use other types of weapons + carrying weapons with them compared to them.

   What i see at least is that there is usually more men learning how to fight/self-defense and carrying weapons. Why would that be if according to Saorise only women have to deal with this everyday and hence the other men being silent in that convo? It's because men know that they don't have any special protection, they know that other men would be more willing to use physical violence against them than against women, because men aren't taught to not hit men (they're taught to not hit women), they know that in more situations there would be more men willing to use violence against them or behave more aggresively with them than they would with a woman.

   It's not about making it a competition between the sexes, it's simply recognizing that members of both sexes have reasons to feel that they need to learn self-defense, its not exclusive to women and that's what Saoirse tried to do with her comment. If you think that leaves the men speechless because of some unknown truth that they never realized in their life, it's really more because they don't want to sound insensitive to a subject like potential violence against women, they know it's career suicide to say something that could be considered wrong or insensitive in that subject.

    What a crock. “All the time?” Yes, be aware of your surroundings, but if you live your life worrying about a physical attack “all the time”, then I pity you. And the idea that only women have to worry about being assaulted is naive and ignorant.

    Dang, she's a yikes from me, dawg. So narcissistic and gaslit the women into clapping. I would have one upped her with:
    "You clapped for that, but what of the 14,000 children under the age of 5 who die everyday in Africa, imagine how scared they feel?" It's just dumb political inserting to hijack the conversation. It's a trick of the chronically self important to be political and derail because you're not getting enough attention.

    And further, men DO think more about how to turn random things into weapons, they're clearly the main innovators of weapon creations, most of which help even the score of, you guessed it, women. Men those bastards. Men who tend to also vote to keep gender-equalizing weapons into the hands of those who'd legally obtain them, where fellow women, historically, do not.

    That’s not actually true I have patients with paranoid schizophrenia and I know prisoners who think about what nearby objects (including their phones) can be used as weapons in case they are attacked

    The discussion around this irritates me. I think it's really good that Saoirse made sure to comment because a lot of men watching, including myself, would not have thought about how women have to get creative when it comes to self-defence. A bone I have to pick is how news articles and people on social media are trying to turn it into this huge "haha gotcha" moment. It just further provokes the "us versus them" mentality between the sexes.

    My friend Martyn Brown was violently attacked by his Fiance Harriet Sharp. He was stabbed 28 times by this woman and almost died. She was sentenced to only 11 years in prison for this evil act. Millions of men around the world are attacked by women every year and most never report it. Men need to speak out about this double standard towards violence.

    These men are simply afraid of being cancelled by woke culture, and being attacked by radical feminists online. That's why they went quiet quickly. They don't want to lose their careers. Its a woman's world now. That's why the birth rate and marriage rate has dropped. Men are just afraid of women now, and they should be.

    More men are attacked and killed by strangers than women, more than twice as many in fact. I had a friend who was blinded in one eye by a complete %#@$ he didn't even know, I was there, he wasn't even provoked.
