Jet2 have been forced to cancel six flights and divert four others after a weather disruption in Krakow, Poland.

Flights to and from Newcastle, Leeds Bradford and Glasgow to Krakow have all been cancelled until tomorrow, with flights to and from Birmingham and Manchester being diverted to Ostrava airport, over 100 miles away.

Jet2 are urging customers to make sure their information is up to date so they can contact impacted customers through text or email.

The airline company said: “In the event of flight disruption, our dedicated operations teams are working hard behind the scenes at our UK-based HQ to get you on your way as soon as possible.”

It added: “It is forecasted dense fog with very poor visibility – locally below 200m. Fog will form most dynamically after sunset.

“Roads and pavements could be icing caused by freezing wet surface in the fog.”

Krakow Airport said to customers online: “Weather conditions cause difficulties in flights from/to Krakow Airport. At the decision of the carriers, flights may be redirected or cancelled, so please monitor the status of your flight with the appropriate airline.”

Tourists have also been issued a travel warning for the Philippines as British nationals have reported rape and sexual assaults.
