» 7 people fined after being caught by Wigan Road speed camera



Wigan Road is the main route between Bolton and Westhoughton.  

The road, also known as the A676, has a fixed speed camera near to its junction with Hythe Street. 

These seven people got caught by this camera, driving over the legal speed limit of 30mph. 

Natasha Lynchey, 33, drove an Audi A3 on May 25 last year at 39mph. 

Lynchey, of Furness Avenue, Blackpool, was fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 and costs of £120 at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on December 27 last year. 

She was also given three points on her licence. 

Mark Minister, 53, drove a Seat Ibiza on the road on May 18 last year at 37mph. 

Minister, of Manchester Road, Worsley, was fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 and costs of £120 at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on December 12 last year. 

He was also given three points. 

Richard Jebb, 34, drove a Mercedes ML250 at 38mph on May 17 last year. 

Jebb, of Southbourne Avenue, Poulton-le-Fylde, was fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 and costs of £120 at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on December 5 last year. 

He was also given three points.

Saul Jackson, 23, drove a Skoda Fabia at 40mph on the road on April 17 last year. 

Jackson, of Rochdale Road, Royton, was fined £66, ordered to pay a surcharge of £26 and costs of £45 at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on November 12. 

He was also given three points. 

Wayne Johnson, 56, was caught driving a BMW 320i in Wigan Road at 37mph on November 17, 2023. 

Johnson, of Maple Avenue, Hindley Green, was fined £146, ordered to pay a surcharge of £58 and costs of £120 at Bolton Magistrates’ Court on November 20. 

He was also given three points and disqualified from driving for six months due to repeat offending. 

Stevie Harrison, 35, drove a Nissan Primastar van at 38mph on April 8 last year. 

Harrison, of Lower Rawson Street, Farnworth, was fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 and costs of £90 at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on November 6. 

He was also given three points. 

William Haddock, 55, drove a BMW 5 Series at 39mph on the road on April 20 last year. 

Haddock, of Brockenhurst Street, Burnley, was fined £100 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £40 at Manchester Magistrates’ on November 13. 

He was also given three points.
