Abandoned motorbike seized in Tyldesley in police operation

The bike was seized this week in the Shakerley area of Tyldesley as part of an ongoing initiative dubbed “Operation Hurricane”.

This is a coordinated attempt by police across the region to crack down on anti-social behaviour on motorbikes.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “There has recently been an increase in reports of nuisance caused by off-road bikes being driven in a careless and anti-social manner across the borough.

“This afternoon specialist units supported by the Neighbourhood team have been responding to such reports in the Shakerley area of Tyldesley resulting in the seizure of the below off-road bike after it was abandoned by the rider.”

Operation Hurricane has also focused on anti-social behaviour involving e-bikes and quad bikes over recent months.
