Firefighters from Bolton Central Fire Station were called to Derby Street, Deane, at 3.48am on the morning of Monday, January 27.

A passer-by had called them on his way to work after noticing a fire at a business along the main road.

Watch manager Mark Berry said: “It was a fire at a temporary office building at the premises.”

He added: “It’s extinguished now, there was a temporary road closure in place while we were on the scene but that’s been fully reopened now.”

The firefighters were in attendance for around two hours before returning to their base at Bolton Central Fire Station after ensuring the blaze was fully extinguished.
