The collection, crafted by students, staff, and their families, showcases the cultural influences within the Tottington High School community.
The cookbook hopes to reflect the diverse backgrounds, traditions, and stories that shape the Tottington community.
Each recipe is a personal contribution from the students, staff, and their families, which reflects their cultural heritage and shared experiences.
Headteacher David Yates said: “Our school is a vibrant, multicultural community, and we wanted to create a project that not only brought people together but also honoured our shared commitment to equality and diversity.
“This cookbook is more than just a collection of recipes – it’s a way for us to embrace our differences and celebrate the things that make us stronger as a community.”
The cookbook includes a variety of dishes, from age-old family recipes to modern takes on international favourites.
It also contains stories from contributors, sharing the personal significance of each dish.
Damian Griffiths, assistant headteacher, equity, diversity and inclusion, said: “We believe that food has a unique ability to unite people from all walks of life.
“Whether it’s a beloved recipe from home or a new creation that reflects the diversity of our experiences, food connects us, and this book is a beautiful representation of that.”
The cookbook is available to buy from the school office for £6, with all proceeds supporting the school’s PE department and the Tottington Centre, a local community hub.
Mrs Cantisano, a staff member and contributor to the book, said: “This project is a true testament to the spirit of collaboration and creativity that thrives at Tottington High School.
“I’m proud to be part of something that not only celebrates diversity but also allows us to share a piece of ourselves with one another.”
The school hopes the book will inspire readers to try out the recipes and share them with family and friends.
