Twin rappers from Toronto accused of trafficking women

Identical twin rappers from Toronto are accused of trafficking women and other offences in Waterloo Region following a year-long investigation.

On Thursday, Waterloo Regional Police said detectives continue to investigate reports of human trafficking that occurred in April 2024.

Police said hip-hop duo Rommel Hinds-Grannum, known as “Nova,” and Robert Hinds-Grannum, known as “Chase,” both 36 years old, were arrested on Feb. 20.

A 50-year-old unidentified man was also arrested.

They are all charged with human trafficking, receiving material benefit, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, exercising control, direction or influence, advertising sexual services, money laundering and uttering death threats.

Investigators are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims and are urging anyone with information to call police at 519-570-9777, ext. 8366.

Police said victims of human trafficking can also receive supports without contacting authorities by contacting Victims Services of Waterloo Region at 519-585-2363 or by email at vswr@wrps.on.ca.
