2 Lancashire gastropubs among Estrella Damm’s top 100

Estrella Damm said on Instagram that its list is “a celebration of culinary excellence, passion, and innovation across the UK.”

While the new rankings are yet to be confirmed, the list has revealed exactly which gastropubs have received praise.

Parkers Arms, Newton-in-Bowland

Visitors have praised Parkers Arms on TripAdvisor for serving “totally amazing” food and having staff who give a “warm welcome”.

One said: “The Parker’s – my absolute fave is a big tasty hug, brought about by the warmth of the team, the wonderful flavours of the food.

“It’s got real heart and soul. If I want to spoil myself, celebrate or have a treat, it’s our go-to.

“I’ve had some of the most memorable meals and times there. New Year’s Eve, to summer time lunches – they’re the best!”

This customer shared: “We called in without booking at lunchtime and received a warm welcome.

“We made our food selection and were told there would be a 20 minute or so wait as the pies were to be freshly baked.

“This gave time to sit out in the garden and enjoy the lovely surroundings.

“Our food was delicious. My potato and cheese pie was the best I have ever had and the pastry was crisp and tasty.

“My husbands venison pie was equally delicious. We would definitely return.”

The Rum Fox, Clitheroe

The Rum Fox also features in Estrella Damm’s new 2026 list and has been praised on Google Reviews by customers.

It has an impressive 4.7 rating and one customer shared: “The rum fox is the finest restaurant I have ever had the privilege of dining at.

“I have eaten at a few Michelin star restaurants and the whole experience at the rum fox is on par with all of them. Amazing food, friendly staff, great atmosphere and beautiful decor, this place is a must visit for any local foodies.
