Since joining the not-for-profit Sanctuary Care facility, Von has brought boundless creativity, compassion and energy to his role, transforming everyday moments into unforgettable experiences tailored to each resident’s personal story.

From organising a heartfelt renewal of vows ceremony for a resident and his wife to mark their 56th wedding anniversary, complete with elegant décor, speeches, and a wedding cake, to orchestrating a Valentine’s Day photoshoot with local photography students, Von and the team’s events are so meaningful for the residents and their loved ones.

A highlight of the year for many of the home’s residents was their road trip to Worcester, England, where they enjoyed an exhibition, complete with a VIP lunch, sightseeing, a restaurant dinner and a hotel stay.

Home manager Rowena Alferos said: “Von and the team at Abercorn are passionate about using every opportunity they can to enrich the lives of our residents every day with so many wonderful experiences.
