A new Lebanese restaurant and premium shisha lounge has opened in Deansgate featuring a partnership with one of Greater Manchester’s most beloved bakeries.
Kouba brings a new all-day concept to the city centre offering modern brunch dishes, dinners and late-night shisha gatherings. Now open at Deansgate Square within the New Jackson neighbourhood, the venue is open from 8am until 2am every day.
In the morning, a range of brunch specials will be available to order including a number of reimagined classics, including their original ‘Pocket Toast’ featuring a range of flavours like Smashed Burger, Bacon Eggs and Cheese and Avocado, Eggs and Cheese.
The venue will also offer a range of freshly-baked pastries and delights from the renowned Didsbury bakery La Chouquette, which will be delivered on-site every day. The artisan bakery, founded by Mairead Deignan and Florent Verove, first opened in 2020 with its Didsbury base. It now has stores across Greater Manchester which often have queues out the door for their baked goods and were previously named the best Manchester bakery at the England’s Business Awards.
There will also be an extensive drinks menu featuring speciality coffees, iced drinks and a dedicated matcha choice. The drinks menu will include a Salted Date Smoothie, White Chocolate Matcha, Kouba’s signature Iced Dubai Chocolate Latte and their soon-to-go-viral Salted Brown Butter Oat Latte.
From 4pm every day, the venue will transform into an evening dining destination with a Lebanese-inspired menu of hot and cold mezze, small plates and mains including the likes of Hummus with Lamb, Cheese Bourak, Lamb Chops, a mixed grill featuring three skewers and their Chicken Shawarma.
Developer Renaker welcomed Kouba to the area, by posting on social media: “We are thrilled to welcome Kouba to New Jackson. An independent restaurant led by a hand-selected team, Kouba is designed to create a new home-from-home for New Jackson residents and the wider neighbourhood, bringing premium ingredients, authentic Lebanese flavours and a memorable dining experience.
