Anthony Joshua makes slitting throat gesture to Jake Paul after almost coming to blows in face off ahead of Netflix bout
ANTHONY JOSHUA sent Jake Paul one more menacing word of warning just 24 hours before their controversial Netflix clash.
The two almost came to blows in a fiery final face off ahead of their Miami bout on the streaming service.
AJ – who came under fire for making remarks about being able to “kill” Paul – made a slitting throat gesture on stage after their stare down.
And Joshua said: “I’m just gonna outclass this kid. I’m a serious fighter. That’s just the difference, I’m a serious, serious fighter.
“You’re going to get f***ed up. It is what it is. We can do another face off but I just believe I’m going to smash him. I’m gonna smoke your boy.”
Joshua – who was restricted to a 245lb weigh-in cap – scaled TWO STONE heavier than Paul – fighting at heavyweight for just the second time.
AJ was 243.3lb (17st 3lb) while Paul came much lighter at 216lb (15st 4lb).
But Paul, 28, said: “The pressure’s on him. I’m fighting free.
“I’ve already won, this is a lose-lose situation for him. I’ve got him in the corner right where I want him.
“I’m here to show the world what’s possible, to show kids what’s possible with self belief. This is what this fight’s about.
Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua – all the info
A true Christmas miracle!
The world will stand still TOMORROW NIGHT as the face of British boxing, Anthony Joshua, is all set to go up against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
AJ steps in on a month’s notice after Paul’s ‘David vs Goliath’ Gervonta Davis clash was axed due to Tank’s civil suit case.
And Joshua will be desperate not to suffer the same fate as legends Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who both lost to YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul.
Particularly as a handsome figure was negotiated to get this Judgement Day deal over the line due to AJ’s DAZN contract.

Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua: All the information you need.
“I’m here to change the sport, I’m here to inspire the next generation of athletes to chase their goals and do the unthinkable.”
Joshua, 36, returns for the first time since his September 2024 knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, 28.
Paul meanwhile fights in just his second heavyweight bout – having beaten Mike Tyson – who was 58 at the time – last year.
He is just 13 bouts into his career – the same number of world championship fights Joshua has had.
Paul’s only defeat came in 2023 against Tommy Fury, 26, but now he faces AJ in a professionally-sanctioned contest.
The fight is scheduled for eight rounds with 10oz gloves to be worn – causing huge concerns for Paul’s safety.
And after making his debut just six years ago, Paul said: “I’m just so blessed to be here with so many fans and supporters.
“And tomorrow night, we’re going to put on a show.”
