Anton Du Beke made an unexpected error on BBC One’s The Wheel on Saturday night.
Strictly Come Dancing fans didn’t have to wait long to see Anton Du Beke on their screens again, as he reappeared immediately after the programme had ended on BBC One’s The Wheel.
The Strictly judge, 59, joined the celebrity line-up on tonight’s (December 13) show, which also included Gabby Logan, Tony Blackburn and Chris Eubank.
Anton was confident on some questions asked over the course of the evening, but it was a question about global popstar Taylor Swift that had him stumped.
Despite her status as one of the biggest stars in the world, Anton admitted he didn’t know a single top 40 single by the artist, which baffled Strictly fans who had heard her music several times on the dance show.

As Richie Anderson won the round with his answer of ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, Anton admitted: “I’ve got nothing. If you’d asked my eight-year-old daughter, I could have given you plenty, but I haven’t got anything. Sorry.”
Taking to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, BBC viewers shared their surprised reactions, with one exclaiming: “ANTON?! How many Swift songs have been featured on Strictly?!”
Another commented: “Anton I am disappointed how do you not know one single Taylor Swift song.”
“It appears Anton is not a Swiftie,” another person quipped.
Taylor Swift performed her single, Lover, live on Strictly back in 2019 during the Grand Final, where Anton finished as a finalist alongside his celebrity partner Emma Barton.
While Anton didn’t have a good answer for the Taylor Swift question, he later helped contestant Natasha on her journey to winning £54,000, with his answers on driving and birds coming in handy.
In the end, Natasha won the jackpot and was emotional as she said: “It’s just going to mean the world. It means we can live more comfortably and make some amazing memories with our families. Thank you, everyone.”
Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing will return tomorrow, as one more couple is set to be sent home ahead of the 2025 Grand Final next Saturday.
Amber Davies, Balvinder Sopal, George Clarke and Karen Carney all performed two dances tonight in the hope of making the final three.
The Wheel will return next Saturday at 9:10pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer
