Food products can be recalled for various reasons. If a food product is found to be problematic and unfit for sale, it may be ‘withdrawn’ (removed from the shelves) or ‘recalled’ (customers are asked to return the product).
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues Product Recall Information Notices to inform consumers and local authorities about food-related issues. In certain instances, a ‘Food Alert for Action’ is issued, providing local authorities with specific actions to protect consumers.
Details of the recall affecting 10 Mini Duck Spring Rolls with Hoisin Dip:
- Pack size: 220g
- Use by: 29 December 2025
Retail stores selling the product will display point of sale notices. These notices will explain to customers why the product is being recalled and instruct them on what to do if they have purchased the product.
