Lewis Devoy, prosecuting, said: “He became quite upset when told he would be placed under arrest.

“He told the officers ‘I’m not getting lifted. I’ve done f*** all.’

“As they approached to apply handcuffs, Anderson lunged towards one of them and tried to headbutt him, but no contact was made.”

Anderson, 22, was fined £580 when he admitted assaulting the officer on July 20, 2024.

His not guilty plea to a charge of assaulting a man to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement was accepted.

The charge had stated that he and unnamed accomplices punched and kicked the alleged victim, dragged him along the ground and caused him to lose consciousness.
