Chelsea travel to Atalanta on Tuesday on the back of a three-game winless streak.

The Blues suffered a calamitous 3-1 defeat at Leeds United in midweek, which was followed by a disappointing 0-0 draw at Bournemouth.

The weekend before that, they clung on to a 1-1 stalemate with league leaders Arsenal having survived much of the match with 10 men, after Moises Caicedo saw red.

Now, their attentions turn to the Champions League, where their fortunes have been far better.

Last time out, Enzo Maresca’s side played out of their skins to thrash Barcelona 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, as Estevao Willian announced himself on the big stage.

Here, they take on an Atalanta side that sit 12th in the Serie A.

Raffaele Palladino’s men have been riddled with inconsistency this term, but that does not stretch to continental competition, with the Italians winning three of their five Champions League games so far.

Liam Delap was forced off against Bournemouth with a shoulder injury and it is unlikely that he will feature in Italy, while Romeo Lavia is another that is expected to miss out.

The usual long-term suspects of Levi Colwill and Dario Essugo will not be involved either.

As for Atalanta, they have two injury concerns.

The first is former Southampton winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, who is sidelined with a muscular niggle, while left-back MItchel Bakker is out long-term with an ACL tear.

Atalanta vs Chelsea prediction

This is a tricky one to call with Atalanta being at home and Chelsea being out of form.

You would think that the world champions would have enough star quality to earn all three points here, but the Serie A outfit are a tough nut to crack, and have some good players on their books that can hurt the Blues.
