Casualty returned to BBC One on Saturday night (January 10) after a three-month break
BBC One’s Casualty has returned to our screens, introducing fresh faces in the emergency department.
In the latest episode of the medical drama (January 10), amidst the year’s hottest day, doctors grappled with soaring temperatures while striving to save lives. Dylan Keogh (William Beck) found himself in a sweat, suspecting that newly-qualified resident doctor Matty Linlaker (Aron Julius) might be his son.
The new arrival was already causing a stir in the ED, clashing with Jodie Whyte (Anna Chell) and Flynn Byron (Olly Rix). Eager to unravel the mystery of Dylan’s potential kinship with Matty, Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) probed him about his mother’s name, seemingly confirming the connection.

Meanwhile, newcomer Dr Kim Chang (Jasmine Bayes) was adjusting to the frenetic pace of the A&E department, but her day took a challenging turn, reports the Mirror.
Assigned to a locker in the staffroom previously used by Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni), Nicole Piper (Sammy Dobson) found herself reminiscing about her past love.
Upon mentioning that she once installed a mirror for her ex inside the locker, Kim jumped to the conclusion that something tragic had happened, leading to Ngozi’s absence from work.
However, viewers later discovered that Ngozi is very much alive, despite Kim’s earlier implication of her demise.

Nicole was less than pleased with the suggestion, and as if on cue, Ngozi rang from the rehabilitation centre where she resided.
Fans of Casualty didn’t hesitate to express their delight on social media about the medical drama’s return after a three-month hiatus, which also introduced two new characters.
One viewer posted on X: “Casualty is finally back! So excited for this new series! #Casualty.”
Another chimed in: “Here we go! After 4 months away due to Strictly #Casualty is finally back.”
