Black Sheep Coffee has been given permission to pitch up on Ayr High Street, at a former second hand store.

A firm behind a rapidly growing chain of coffee shops is to make its first entry into the Ayrshire market.

Black Sheep Coffee has been given permission to pitch up on Ayr High Street, at a former second hand store.

Their planning application, to erect signage at 134 High Street, on the site of The Hanger pre-loved superstore, has been approved by council planners.

The firm behind the planning application is BSC Stirling Ltd.

Black Sheep Coffee has a presence in Northern Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Wales, England and the USA.

They also have a significant presence in Edinburgh and Glasgow, but this venture will be their first in Ayrshire.

Council planners have approved the proposals, with conditions, under delegated powers.
