Indonesia’s laws mean the adult star could face up to 15 years in prison and a fine of about £270,000 if convicted

Adult actress Bonnie Blue has spoken out for the first time since her arrest in Bali on suspicion of breaking Indonesia’s strict ‘morality’ laws, as immigration officers decide her fate.

The controversial content creator was apprehended last Thursday (December 4) after locals reported her ‘bangbus’ tour, in which she claimed to film explicit content with “barely legal” students, to authorities. The 26-year-old, whose real name is Tia Billinger, encouraged students visiting the country for ‘Schoolies’, an Australian post-high-school celebration, to come and join her.

Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country and holds a strict view on distributing, producing or publicly displaying adult content compared to the West. The nation’s laws mean Billinger could face up to 15 years’ imprisonment and a fine of about £270,000 if convicted of pornography offences.

Her rental studio was searched by officers who found a plethora of racy items, including “school Bonnie Blue” outfits, Viagra, condoms, cameras, flash drives and lubricant.

She was arrested alongside 17 male tourists, but 14 of the men were released without charge, while she and three other men remained under investigation. All four were released from prison but faced a further two days of questioning by immigration and had their passports seized.

While walking into the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Jimbaran, south of Kutam, on Wednesday, Billinger broke her silence, telling reporters to “subscribe and you’ll find out,” when asked if she was planning on making any more explicit content in Bali.

However, she remained silent when quizzed on whether or not she would be allowed to remain in the country. Police have since released information confirming no evidence of pornographic content, meaning Billinger and three other men have escaped a conviction.

“When they were raided, they were making collab content about a game where the winner would sleep with Bonnie Blue. No pornographic activities or acts have been found in the collaborative content,” explained Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, Acting Head of the Public Relations Sub-Division of the Badung Police.

But, at a press conference outside the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office on Thursday (December 11), immigration chief Heru Winarko noted that Billinger had breached her travel visa privileges and would therefore be deported, Australia’s Daily Telegraph reports.

“They have misused the visa they have to make content in Bali. They will be black-listed from entering Indonesia for at least 10 years (which) could be extended,” Chief Winarko claimed, adding: “Once police have finished with the investigation, after that we will deport them and put them (on) the blacklist.”

Badung Police also confirmed that the three other men arrested alongside Billinger are now facing trial over the purchase of her blue “bangbus” over its alleged lack of vehicle registration, local outlet detikBali reports.
