Brew York to close Walmgate taproom ahead of renovation

Brew York, a brewery based in Walmgate, have revealed that they are planning to close the doors on their taproom for just under a week in order to give their flagship Tap Room some ‘well deserved TLC’.

The closure is set to take place from 11pm tonight (November 22) with the new look bar opening to the public next Friday (November 28).

In a now deleted post on Instagram, they said: “From Sunday morning, our Tap Room will be closed to the general public until Friday while she undergoes a huge facelift!

“From a new bar, to new serving tanks, magical things will be happening downstairs at Walmgate, so stay tuned for exciting updates and make sure you mark down a trip to Brew York in your diary for next weekend to come see the new and improved Tap Room!”

Posters placed around the venue also warn punters of the closure adding: “We promise it’ll be worth the wait!”
