The roundabout will be closed overnight due to roadworks. A diversion route will be in place.
Milton roundabout in Cambridge is set to close overnight for five days, while roadworks are carried out. It will be closed from 8pm until 6am between December 8 and December 13.
The closure will allow carriageway resurfacing to take place. Drivers will be able to travel along the A14, B1047 and B1049 instead, and a diversion route will be in place.
An order by Cambridgeshire County Council, for the “temporary prohibition of through traffic”, explains that access will be maintained to properties affected. Emergency services will also be able to use the roundabout.
The order continues: “The proposed order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8 December 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 June 2027 whichever is the earlier.
“It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs between 8 December 2025 and 13 December 2025.”
