This was related to a complaint made in March 2025 against Cllr Knight, who represents the Orton Waterville ward. The complaint referred to an interaction with Cllr Knight at the resident’s home.

After evidence was presented at a hearing, Cllr Knight was found to have breached the council’s code of conduct on bullying, bringing her position as a councillor into disrepute and abusing her position.

However, allegations that Cllr Knight had harassed or discriminated against the resident and brought the council into disrepute were dismissed by the panel in the same hearing.

Following the proceedings, Cllr Knight must make a written apology to the resident and the full council, and will have to undertake training on the member’s code of conduct. A recommendation to the Full Council to remove Cllr Knight from the role of Chair of the Council’s Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee has also been imposed.
