The suspects had left the scene by the time officers had arrived

Police are asking for anyone with information to come forward after a ram raid took place at a shop in a Cambridgeshire village. Cambridgeshire Police were called at around 2.20am today (Friday, January 16) following reports of a burglary at a shop in St George’s Road, Wittering.

Officers attended to the scene. The suspects had left the area before the police had arrived.

A crime has been raised for business burglary and an investigation is ongoing.Police are asking for anyone with information, anyone who lives in the area or anyone who was near the shop at the time to come forward.

Anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage should contact the police either via their website or by calling 101 and quoting ref 35/3815/26.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called at about 2.20 this morning (16 January) with reports of a burglary in progress at a shop in St George’s Road, Wittering.

“Officers attended but the suspects had left the scene. A crime has been raised for business burglary and an investigation is ongoing.

“Anyone with information or who lives / was in the area at the time and might have dashcam or doorbell footage should contact police either online or via 101, quoting ref 35/3815/26.”
