The Hoops boss dropped by Italian eatery La Lanterna on Friday night following a 2-2 draw with Bologna in Italy on Thursday.
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has been pictured enjoying an evening at a popular Glasgow west end spot. The Hoops boss dropped by La Lanterna on Friday night, for a bite to eat at the Italian restaurant.
The visit came fresh off the back of Celtic’s 2-2 draw away to Bologna in Italy, as the east end side looks to keep its Europa League dream alive. And O’Neill clearly wanted another taste of Italy, after visiting the Great Western Road eatery the evening after the result, reports Glasgow Live.
Posting a picture of O’Neill to Facebook, La Lanterna described serving him as “an honour”. They said: “What a night at La Lanterna West End.
“We had the pleasure of hosting the incredible Martin O’Neill for dinner. After an exciting 2-2 draw Celtic had against Bologna in the Europa League, it was an honour to share our table with the Celtic manager.
“Thank you, Martin, for choosing us to celebrate!”
Fans flocked to the comments following the post. One said: “Two brilliant professionals side by side.”
Another added: “Fantastic pic.”
And a third posted: “Lovely picture.”
Martin O’Neill’s Celtic will be back in action on Sunday, as they make the trip across the M8 to play league leaders Hearts at Tynecastle.
The Jambos have already defeated Celtic twice this season, following a 3-1 win in Edinburgh back in October and a 2-1 win at Celtic Park in December.
